    • Coldstone crashing bug

This might just be me, since nobody else has mentioned it, but...

Sometimes, when you quit Coldstone and then click on the Finder's menu bar (File, Edit, etc.) the Finder 'unexpectedly quits' every time you click. Means you can't shut down the mac - without using the keyboard. The problem doesn't seem to happen if you're running another program in the background, and I'm using an iMac DV SE, with Mac OS 9.2 (OS X is installed, but I'm using the 9.2 system folder for now).

      Any ideas what's wrong?

    • Yea that happens to me too. Locks up my computer and forces me to use the reset button to restart it. It's really annoying when it happens.

I'm using an rev. A bondi iMac with 96mb of ram and OS 8.6

    • I too have had the problem - Finder 'unexpectedly quits' when I've just quit Coldstone (applied to both 1.0 and 1.0.1 running under OS 9.2). I finally cracked the problem - an extension conflict. In my case it was Instant Palm Desktop extension, specifically v2.6. I've upgraded to Instant Palm Desktop v2.6.3 and the Finder crash has now disappeared. (Palm recommend Desktop users to replace 2.6 with the more stable v2.6.3)

      Best wishes, David

      Mr. PdRichard,

Ya know, now that you mention it, I've had this happen to me often as well. I only started noticing it when I upgraded to CGE 1.0.1 though. I always figured it was something else, but now that you mention it and others are confirming it, perhaps there is something goofy with CGE.

I'll forward this bug report on to the beta mailing list as well as to Beenox.

      Thanks
