Oh, and this isn''t in the other post because it's not about the crappy site but really about that game. I started development last week, so it should be in gameplay testing soon. As in, next week. Go to (url="http://"http://www.carracho.com")www.carracho.com(/url), download and install the client, and look for my website 'Ultrapropane'.
pretty soon I'll be needing volunteers for:
1- gameplay testing. This means running around and trying the feel of it. Seeing if theplayer/creature balance is right, etc..
spoiler value:
light, there will be no quests installed and gameplay might differ from release. You'll learn a bit about thinking about games.
2 - (more in the future) beta testing.
making sure no npcs get stuck in a old quest storyline, eliminating shortcuts etc..
spoiler value:
bigtime spoiler, overexposure. pretty much only suited for hardcore fans or people interested in making their own game and see how the testing works.
So go there, check out what's there, and contact me.

Sweet. I liked the images on the geography page, but they were a tad blurry.
The only problem I have with this is the lack of navigation. Look (url="http://"http://www.AmbrosiaSW.com/news/")here(/url), the Ambrosia homepage. On the top, you see a banner, and below that, a button bar. The top bar makes it easy to navigate. So, you might want to put the links at the top in a horizontal bar.

Nothing is foolproof to a sufficiently talented fool.

as I said, crappy page
users.skynet.be/fa250604 is my l337 page, but the crescent interface will have to wait till I get more content
and you are right about the geography paintings. They teach us a important lesson : I need to get a wacom tablet ASAP!

Ok, I added a menu - not nifty, but it works
Also wrote a story.

Looking forward to seeing more.

Just pimpin' my (url="http://"http://www.thejbfc.com")fishing skills(/url) and (url="http://"http://homepage.mac.com/dampeoples/Sterling/Menu19.html")other stuff(/url)
I really like the screen shots, here's hoping the monsters are fun to wail on...

kewl, I'm in Europe and my (url="http://"http://www.carracho.com")carracho(/url) server usually is up from noon to midnight CET. The name of the server is Ultrapropane.
The testing is planned for this weekend, for now it will involve battling monsters.
I'd like to establish a 'learning' curve, starting with small monsters, then moving on to bigger ones, always using / buying the basic weapons.
It will get more interesting later on, but in the first round I will ask the testers to keep battling monsters and tell me wich skill levels/ weapons they reach before a certain kind of monster gets too easy.
Anyone else who's interested in becoming a tester can go over to the site (url="http://"http://users.skynet.be/fa250604/sites/gamesite/crescent.html")here(/url)
And thanks for the compliment Squak, those ground tiles really have been a problem child..
Sorry ill_a_nois, but my animator isn't budging, so monsters will be still sprites for now

I fixed that, but the first one to start on spelling and typo's will be found buried under a pile of split hairs. Jeez people, i'm trying to focus on the game.
You'll all get a nifty handcrafted website interface before the lauch, I promise. And now I'm going to work on the game interface.

hey, looks pretty cool, id be willing to help test this too... (psst... i think i know your secret on the npc graphics, you used the default hero graphic and erased everything but his face, then drew a body around it) no i could be wrong and dont take that as an insult, just thought i recognized the face.) well anyway, let us know when you get your game out fort testing!

I'm not laughing at you,
