    • I have tried starting the tutorial on both the classic and OS X versions of Coldstone and keep hitting the same roadblock: The game will not launch because StartGame.cet could not be found. I read the instructions carefully and don't think I missed any steps. Am I doing something wrong or is there something missing from the tutorial? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks. I have it working now. I was confused because the tutorial kept saying I should have a black screen the first few times I launch the game and instead I kept getting the error message, so I didn't read any farther in the tutorial because I thought I was already doing something wrong. Thanks for the help.

      Greetings, all-powerful archmage!
Finally, you have done it again, as it should have been so many years ago, the archmage powerful enough to gain possession of the ultimate spell. Armageddon is a powerful and frightening spell, as devastating to yourself as to mankind. You will no longer be eligible to receive protection from the council. From now on, you are on your own. Good luck, and may your powers be with you.

The CD duplicators have all of the goods they need, we're merely waiting on them to deliver!

    • Just a quick question...... is it just me, or is the actual tutorial file exactly the same, word for word, as the one that theGlueBubble posted last week, and that was quickly pulled? Because I'm one of the people who prefers to work from a hardcopy manual, and I've skimmed the first dozen pages of this new tutorial and as far as I can tell, they're identical.

But anyway, even if you did download the FC tutorial, this version includes the 'Tutorial' template which made following it before rather difficult. I'd suggest getting it as well. In fact, if you are just beginning to learn to use Coldstone, but would rather make your own game straight away, it's probably easiest just to compile the Tutorial mode, and follow the initial instructions before you get to the sections comprising Boberus and the Dragons Cave, and then taking it from there, as much of the work needed in creating all of the interface elements has already been done for you. 🙂
