Well as you remember that was an old topic. This is part 2, Coldstone IS here! YAY!!! But I opened the program and almost cried! I had had the old beta from ALONG time ago, and this looked JUST like it with better graphics. I had played with the old one and was VERY disappointed. I consoled myself by saying the final version would be MUCH better as I'm sure it is. BUT, I don't have my own sprites or tiles, I DO NOT want to make a game that looks and sounds like P.O.G. And I don't know how to use this program very well. I need to learn somehow to to make sprites and learn to use this program PLEASE help! Thank you so much,

      kill all of them.

    • There are some very good sprite tutorials on the net, but it basically depends on your artistic ability. Get a graphics tablet, and try using Painter... that might make it a bit easier. Don't forget the CD version of Coldstone will come with MANY more sprite types.

check out these sites, they should help you learn how to make sprites.

Also, remember that the graphics on the CD will not just be the pog ones and will cover a wide range.
(EDIT: oh, and what exactly are you complaining about? I would suspect the improvements to coldstone were "under the hood", as events and engine modifications such as alpha support)

I was never complaining about anything, I just needed some help. Oh, and thanks for the site. I have a good 3D program (Cimea4D XL) but I can't make organic odjects, i.e. humans. Thanks anyway,

I know the feeling - I can do image manipulation but I can't draw original artwork. I'm going to use the Coldstone sprites mainly, but I think I'll try and draw my own main characters.

Misread what you were trying to say I guess.

Since I'm still sobbing over the fact I don't have a scanner, it's going to be mighty hard to think about using my iMac's "puck" mouse to draw my 5 main heros. By the way, it's pretty neat, 'cause one of them is an Amora, a seaside dweller with a funny hat.
