Turn off anti-aliasing in your grpahics program.

You see, that isn't a "white" line you are seeing; it is hundreds of different off-white colors created when your graphics software tried to make a soft edge between the white background and the colored object.

If your graphic is finished already there are only two options -- crop it smaller with an non anti-aliased selection tool, or blow it up to pixel size and edit with the pencil tool, replacing each and every off-white pixel with one of pure, vanishing, white.
