Ambrosia Garden Archive
    • Putting my money where my mouth is...

After looking through Beenox's and Alois's tutorials, I have come to the conclusion that Coldstone is the real deal. So I finally decided to register my copy of Coldstone. I would strongly encourage others to do the same. It is a quality product, even with the (many?) flaws/missing features it may have. Ambrosia has a long history of fixing and supporting all of their titles. I'm sure Coldstone will be no exception.

The Beenox tutorial gave me a nudge, but Ambrosia/Beenox should really thank Alois for his/(her?) mini-tutorial, as that was what put me over the edge. Likewise, I think it was a mistake to pull the Beenox tutorial from the page, because even though you didn't have the Wizard, it still gives a person a very good idea of what the process of creating a game is like.

In addition to the current Beenox tutorial, I definitely think Ambrosia/Beenox MUST furnish an "Empty Project" tutorial so you can get to know the ins and outs of starting a game from scratch.

Now that I'm a registered owner of Coldstone, expect me to be a lot more vocal, and with many more "constructive" criticisms 😉

Let's start making some great games!!!

    • Fact #1:
      It's on the mac

      Fact #2:
      It's in english

      Fact #3:
It still runs circles around all of those Japanese windows RPG makers.

The tutorial was removed because it was incomplete and it wasn't the latest version. I should upload the official one today.

(oh,and to everyone: please add a description to the files you upload :))

Did this get delayed, or am I just missing it somewhere? 😕

We runned into a problem with the upload scripts. The tutorial package is all ready to go and will be released as soon as this problem is fixed.
