    • Looking to build a coldstone development team—already have a few good people

I'm trying to organize a merry band of outlaws and outcasts to develop both commercial and freeware RPGs. We've got ideas, we've got skills, we've got time. All we need is some artists to help with graphics/sound, and there's not much the average game designer would have that we wouldn't (save for real programming skills—but that's what coldstone is for :D)

      Who I have so far:

      Jeff Pearson (me):
I have access to a number of programs such as photoshop and such, and a number of other things that could add to a large production. Such as, maybe if I had the time, I could run game manuals through real printing presses and bind them professionally. Not to much in the way of graphical/sound tallent though. But I learn fast and I'll probably catch on to coldstone really quick, so I'd be good for design. I'm also an experienced advertising designer, so I could really add to an RPG. ( as well as market it! )

Simon Eastman (a friend of mine, and co-worker):
Simon works with me, and attends graphics tech college classes where he has access to just about every graphics/multimedia program ever made (which proves once and for all why macs are better than PCs—most of those apps are mac-only). He is a total genius when it comes to making movies, and he knows how to use Adobe Premiere, which is great for making professional quicktime movies. He is also extremely creative and already has four or five stunning storyboards we can use, locked up in his crazy head 😄 😄 :D. He's primarily a PC user though, and he's got a job AND college. He won't be able to contribute a great deal of time, but he's a pro all the same.

      Jack Shepard (another friend):
He's useful in the sound department, he has SonicFire pro, which can be used to put together soundtracks. Not create your own music or sounds, but it's great for editing and adding some touches and effects. Also, he has a number of sound libraries that can be used in soundtracks free of royalties. He's also just a mac user like me (and unlike Simon), and will most likely be able to contribute to game design in Coldstone.

      Who I'm looking for:

A 3D graphics artist. Someone creative, and skilled. Preferably, someone using Bryce, Animation: Master, or any other high-end 3D modeling program.

A 2D graphics artist. Mainly what I'm looking for is someone creative who can draw on paper.

Someone capable of creating music—in any fashon. As anyone can tell you, sound is a HUGE part of any movie or game. And if it sounds good, it's good, no matter how awful the graphics or gamepay are.

Multilingual people who could do large ammounts of translating would be great. Nothing expands your market like having it in multiple languages!

This is the real deal. We've all got experience, and in things that will REALLY help a commercial game take off.

    • Need anyone for plot ideas or pencil drawings?

      I love cheddar!!!

    • I might be able to help with the sound. I'm hoping to major in music business in college, I don't have much experience using the computer though. I can play drums guitar and harmonica. What sound software would you be using?

    • I can do pencil drawings (2d art) for characters and maps and stuff and i have a MIDI music program called micrologic with which i can write and record multi-track songs for your games. since i'm a guest and you can't get my email otherwise, here it is:

      duckboy47@yahoo.com

hope i can help! sounds really fun!

    • By the way, I only use Macintosh, unless caught in a dire situation without a Mac.

    • Hey, i am pretty good at both making music, not sound and draw 2D characters on paper.
Im a MAC-ONLY, just like the Duck guy. I use Flash too, if that would be any help.
Im not so into 3D, but I know da rules of a 3D program.
Actually, the first 3d program i used was Bryce. All I need is to refresh my thoughts a bit and Im into it again.
But probably I will be working on my own games.
But IF u need more help, I am in 🙂

    • Depending on your plans, I might be interested. Check out (url="http://"http://home.wanadoo.nl/wim48")Illustrations by Wim Euverman(/url). I work mainly in Painter, with a Wacom drawing pad, and use Bryce a lot. I also use Photoshop, Flash and Illustrator. I've played around with and have used Amapi3D, Poser3, Pixels3D, Amorphium and a lot more.
I'm a Mac user. It is however hard for me to predict how much time I have to offer, work comes always first.

No free email addresses are allowed, due to the difficulties involved with banning members who can just sign up with another free address. Since mac.com is free to mac users of 9 & X, moki decided to make it also unallowed. Sucks, but that's life. 🙂

But there are some email addresses that still work. I remember a topic on this on Banter & Brawl a month or so back. Try looking guys, there were a few mentioned that worked with Ambrosia. 🙂
