Or simply to change the layer position of the PC/NPC layer in the layer stack. 2.x dimensional games.
But this does require a 'triggering' of the relayering with some 'event trigger'. I know that there are some games that use 2.x dimensional techniques to achieve a 3D effect.Which is very noticable in the awkwardness of implementation. What I stated was simply that walking over and under a bridge is 3D. Period. The character must move in the 3rd dimension and not unrealistically leap to different 2 dimensional planes.
Coldstone is not a game generator with these capabilities. And you know this.
