Hello. I've been waiting for ColdStone's release for a while, but I was not quick enough to enter the beta, so I'm trying to guess its features from the FAQs and the screenshots.

A thing I have not yet understood is the party creation system. Most screenshots only show your character, so I'd like to know if you can have a party, let's say 4-6 people including your hero. In this case, can you :

1. create your character but you have no freedom over other party members (i.e. they have their own story and stats). Do they act on their own (Fallout) or can you control them (Baldur's Gate)?
2. create your party from the beginning (Exile, Realmz).

we all wish that a party would be allowed, but from what was discussed in the many previous topics on parties, we doubt that one will be included...
although no one has let anything out yet about parties...

Disappointing yes, inevitable, propably, but whether an incompletion of the engine that controls this function, indecision by authorities, tailoring by the same, obstacles in development, or dropping the feature completely, Ambrosia SW, Beenox, and beta testers are tight-lipped about this feature. Perhaps the only reason I still follow Coldstone so fluently is in the hopes that it will eventually be implemented and revealed, because quite frankly, my game cannot survive without it. Only time will tell how this will all work out, but pressing for an answer will not get you one.
