A new movie has been added to the (url="http://"http://www.AmbrosiaSW.com/news/upcoming/pog_betashots.html")Pillars of Garendall(/url) betashots web page. It shows our hero walking through the town of Berglum, haggling with a merchant, and generally doing what heros do. Here's a direct link to it, for the lazy.

And so the problem remained; lots of people were mean, and most of them were miserable, even the ones with digital watches. Many were increasingly of the opinion that they had all made a big mistake in coming down from the trees in the first place. And some said that the trees had been a bad move and that no one should ever have left the oceans. - Douglass Adams -
Just get Quicktime Pro (if you don't know where to get it you should not be living :p) and control click on the movie and save it.

I'm guessing Andrew made the movie with ASW's very own (url="http://"http://www.AmbrosiaSW.com/utilities/snapzpro/")Snapz Pro 2(/url). I've had it for about two months now, and it's awesome. It's come in really handy while beta testing, and I use it to aid in making skins/decals for 3D models as well. I may try using it for movies for a couple of tutorials I'm writing. I'm beginning to wish I had known about how cool Snapz really is a LONG time ago.
As for snes-style cutscenes, it's possible to make basic ones with the current beta (I think I can say this without incurring Andrew's wrath). Otherwise, I think there would be a way to make these as Quicktime movies out of your game art using Quicktime Pro... AfterFX could definately do this, but that's a little out of most people's league.

OK, IF Coldstone supports multiple party members (I may be jumping the gun here), is there an easy way to implement variable cutscenes, such as different outcomes with different characters, without having to make multiple movies?
Also, will we be able to have console style conversations with bubbles, with multiple party members talking (again IF) and with variables depending on if they are there? Thanks.

**Pardon? Variable cutscenes within a single movie file? How on earth would you do that?

Not variable cutscenes in a movie, but rather variable event driven animations in realtime, like in the SNES days.
