    • Do you think that RPG's makers will start a new craze?

I have Seen SNES and PSX RPG's makers, but will coldstone
      start a new craze?

    • I hope so, the more RPG makers out there the more RPGs! Oh, and gimme some more info about these PSX and SNES RPG makers, are you reffering to that Net Yaroze thing? I had a go on one and boy did it suck. You may as well get CodeWarrior, a PSX development kit and a CD burner. I've never heard of a SNES one tho...

Friction leads to fire, you could get burned,
How much ink I just injected is none of your concern,
Unless your on terms of understanding the omega,
He controlls the mix so you can inherit the heater.

    • Hopefully Coldstone will start a new craze. The fact that it requires no coding knowledge but only some persistence makes it a logical choice for people who just want to make a good game and not worry about having to code it.. With all the games in development, there will be a few good ones in the bunch.

It will be good to see more RPG's out there (I hope they are good!), I heard of Net Yaroze, it's just a PSX which is for making game on PSX, then send it to sony somehow and let them see if it's good or not (I can't see the point of it...).
I have SEEN a SNES RPG maker, but it's in Japanese (well I think that ALL RPG makers on SNES and PSX is in Japanese), and I dont how it works.

Actually, ColdStone isn't the first. There are (I think) over 20 other RPG Makers out there for the PC (sigh and not one available for the Mac...). rpgmaker.net used to have links to all of them but I hadn't gone there in while and now the site's gone or something...

ColdStone, however, is looking to be much better than any of those. So I'm glad at least that the best of the RPG Makers will be the one available for Macs.

    • Here are some things to ponder:

Why do we need more then one RPG development kit? Its the same thing with windows users saying "there is no software for the mac". How many different personal finance suits do you really need? Coldstone is awesome, and will probably kick the pants of of the PC ones.

    • Yeah my rpg will be a sexual one that'll be a new craze. You will constantly be doin it throughout the storyline and you will control who you do it with. So don't chose the most un-romantic chat up line because you think it will end up sappy like in final fantasy VII. Cos' you'll miss out!

    • The reason we need more than one RPG maker Dark Blade is because, on a PC, if someone wanted to make a turn based RPG rather than real-time battle one, they could. Just because products do the same thing, that doesn't mean one does it all. And some of the PC RPG makers are very good. I'm running some under emulation and based on features that have been revealed for Coldstone, I'm a little skeptical that it will be the hot app that will bring the Mac to par. Of course, it will be an excellent start, and i hope it garners widespread support.

    • have you played Yipe! 3?
It is simply the best RPG for mac out there today.
With 4 character class choices, editable appearances of you and monsters and everything, you know Yipe! 3 has got to be the best game of all time.

"Oh....Talia is it? What a....a pleasant surprise. I did not expect---"
"Neither did your guards--- judging by the look of shock pasted on their lifeless faces"
