You know, I have to agree with Andrew that it's better that any official Ambrosia material remain on the Ambrosia site, but...
One thing I think would be great is if a 'CRPG Makers' community started, it wouldn't have to be exclusive to Coldstone, but rather a resource for anyone interested in creating these types. I have had hopes that other people on this board might start posting links to articles about writing interactive fiction, tips for creating game balance, etc, etc, but that hasn't been the case.
There's more to making something of artistic merit than firing up a program and dinking with it. Just because I know how to use a camera doesn't necessarily mean I'm a good photographer; I knew people with $4K Hassleblads who are really bad photographers, and I know some extremely talented people who can take some incredible pictures with even a little kodak disposable. These qualities come from things external to the tool and internal to the artist.
I personally plan on writing a guide to sound effect creation (and hopefully will get it done before the new year), and maybe a step-by-step guide to creating game sprites in Animation Master. These are things that, while intended for people using Coldstone to create games, are also of a somewhat different scope than "how do I do something logistically inside the engine?"
OTOH, it seems that if half the people on this board got into a real-time chat room togehter, they could exhaust half of the pointless banter that's exchanged here.
