They don't show Coldstone off per se, but rather the kind of game that can be (and is being!) created using Coldstone. We'll have some more screenshots from the Coldstone game editor itself soon!

Keep in mind that the graphics in these screenshots are not entirely finished, but I think they still look quite nice.

Those look great. I presume the tile-based engine hasn't been removed entirely? It's just so nice to have a choice.

What is the 3D program being used for the graphics, if I may ask?

No, it is still there. Just don't use layers in your maps and you will have what you seem to consider tile-based (like Realmz). You can even ignore the 32 bits feature of Coldstone and use only 256 colors if you want. Plus, you can also decide to limit yourself to 32x32 icons for the characters!!!

Those are very nice. I think the grassy screenshot looks a little weird, but that's probably because it's heavily scaled down.

It does look sort of like a Guantlet style game. Hell, with this program you could probably make a multiplayer RPG.

Hmm, everybody keeps telling me that. I just may soon. It was a halfway joke. It looks so much like Guantlet (multiplayer game) that I just wrote what I thought. I know it would take forever to make a network game and even harder to do it with a engine that will not support it (or even do it).
