      First question:
will it make realtime games, turn-based games, or both?
By realtime I mean games like baulders gate and also games like FF, where everything exept battle is realtime. By turn-based I mean games like exile

      2nd question :
Will the games it creates be more like console style games or CRPGs. Can it do both?
By console I mean games like FF and Crono trigger. By CRPGs I mean more open games, like the Exile games.

Also, do I understand correctly that it will not support live action RPGs such as Zelda and Terranigma (an SNES game)?

BTW, these would be good questions to be answered in the FAQ.
      thanks.

    • I believe they are.

I also think the answer is yes. 🙂 To repeat myself, however, I wouldn't know.

We do not live to work, rather, we work to live.

The problem with you is that you keep trying to unscrew the unscrutable.

The answer to your first two questions is "both". It will depends on you if you want to use the animation engine to make something more realtime or only use still pictures (which would result in a more Exile style game). The battle system is still subject to change so I can't answer that one.

    • more questions:

i found out about Coldstone just about a month ago...i was really excited and began work on my first game. so my question is, will the work i've done so far be useless when the final editor will be released? will i be able to add animations and all the other goodies not yet available to me when the final release comes out without having to start over again?

      okay...that's it for now.

      thanks.

    • Good question, i was wondering about this too.
