Ok, round closed! I'm waiting on a few PMs, so the next round will begin as soon as I get them.

Lazy terrorists. It's bad enough the terrorists are going to kill one of us, the least they could do is be prompt about it

If you read the rules I set down in the front section, you'll note that I have to power to temporarily take over all special roles that don't respond within a reasonable time. That said, I think the next few rounds will have a more... hospitable start/end time, as not many people are up at 2 in the morning.
So: I'll wait until 2:00 PM my time, then post what happens next. Sorry for the delay.

Everyone had voted. Now it was time to discover the truth.
Once more the voice of F.A.T.E. spoke: 'As per your choices, you have indicated that _prophile has a high chance of being a terrorist. prophile _, please stand.'
_prophile did so, uneasily. F.A.T.E. continued. 'By the powers vested in me by the Secretary General of the U.N., you, prophile _, will be deleted on suspicion of crimes against humanity. Thank you for your time.'
Then F.A.T.E. ate _prophile _'s soul.
It wasn't quite as dramatic as it sounded, but it was close-- a skein of some transparent, wispy substance passed, or was pulled, from _prophile 's body, and flew into the gray wall that separated the current room from F.A.T.E.'s main processing center. After a few seconds, a fleet of small, flying robots emerged from several dark corners and hauled prophile _'s body away.
A pause. The ambassadors looked on, dumbstruck at what they had just seen, except for _Manta _,who appeared to have fallen asleep. Then F.A.T.E. spoke again.
_'A posthumous mindscan has found evidence that prophile was trained in espionage and intelligence gathering. He was not a terrorist. I advise you to choose more accurately next time. Also: Manta _, please wake up. This is not the time for relaxing.'
There was a pause. _mrxak tried shaking Manta _, to no effect.
F.A.T.E. spoke, somewhat louder this time. **'_ Manta** _ , please wake up.'_ Still no response.
Finally, F.A.T.E. (who had lost its virtual patience) bellowed in an awesome, godlike voice: _ ****_
'WAKE UP, Manta _ !!!'_ _
Nothing. _Manta stayed as he was, head slumped over his desk. Then, Hypochondriac had the presence of mind to check his pulse. Or lack of one, because there wasn't. Hypochondriac spoke loudly, to attract the attention of the entire group. 'Everyone, listen up! Manta _has just been killed.'
Shocked babble in the room, the ambassadors expressing their surprise at the death of one of their fellows. F.A.T.E. sent out a small robot, which emerged from the shadows and scanned _Manta _'s body, using some sort of light-bar.
'He's been shot with a microdart,' said F.A.T.E. 'It's a small dart that's so tiny that you won't even feel it when you get hit by it. However, one can carry enough toxins to kill a man in 15 seconds. It appears that there are truly terrorists in our midst. I suggest your current choice be wiser than your last one.'
And as another fleet of robots carried _Manta _'s body away, F.A.T.E. had one thing more to say.
'Good luck.'_
In short: **Congratulations. You just killed yourselves an IA.
**The next round ends 48 hours from now, at 4 PM CST on Thursday. Good luck! **

Suddenly, without warning, a giant bluish-orange wombat falafel made entirely out of whipped cream that is incapable of instant materialization and/or going through temporal rifts and took at least 56.30 hours to make materializes anyway in the center of the table and launches itself at Buffalo the Kid 's head. He is not injured, other than now looking like a small pillar made of whipped cream.
You call the tune, you pay the piper...

Is the I.A really that important? How much help could one investigation a round be?
If it discovers who one of the terrorists is, and the IA can convince everyone else of that fact... very important indeed. Also, if the investigation reveals that someone has some other special role, the IA can then use that fact.
Also, while he is alive and unknown, other players can attempt to convince people that they are the investigator to avoid lynching, although, they would then face the wrath of the terrorists. The terrorists usually don't want the I.A. around, because they could find them, and if you let him live too long and he accuses you, you might have to kill him before he convinces other that you are evil, which would draw suspicion to the person he accused.
CREAM!!!!!!!!!
EDIT: Yay! 148th post!

I wonder why the terrorists killed manta. Given his history mrxak would have been the most dangerous. Either the terrorists are new and don't know that, they know and are keeping him alive so he looks suspicious, or he's a terrorist himself. I can't tell, might just use a random number generator to determine my vote
Ooh! Yummy randomness!
