(which I hope to use custom graphics or something with to achieve a white sketchfighter).

Unfortunately, the color of the sketchfighter is unchangeable, since it's hardcoded to black. You will note that the source sprite graphic is actually white already.

There are other topics in this forum, and also the guide that I included with Custom Asset Enabler, that explain thoroughly how this works. I'm too lazy to repeat it right now. 🙂

Hm, ok, I do have your Custom Asset Enabler and accompanied guides, I'll have a look at that more closely.

Is it actually hardcoded, or just specified in the .LMSprite files?

As Edwards said, "there is no collision handling between child sprites and walls for movements of the parent sprite." Only the centres of bosses 1 and 3 will respect walls - the attached stuff won't.

You could make the parent sprite in layer 10 (i.e., invisible) and scale it up to the size of the whole boss. You'd have to add the centre drone sprite again as a child sprite, though.

Thank you i'll fix this now and i'll edit this post when done.

That I don't know. Look into it, you might get lucky. Then let us know how you did it. 😄

      1. I released it, even thought I can't beat it because I always get to right before the last 2 color doors and thought people would enjoy the challenge

All right, that's close enough, although it may have been better to raise the time limit a bit before releasing it.

      2. When it is changed to enemy they all "Spring To Life" and become separate enemies

Ah, yes, I'd forgotten about that. If an enemy tracks the player, and you don't want it to, you need to set it to any type other than Enemy.

@---: It's truly hard-coded. Also, the new color for the page looks much nicer.

@D-ATTACK: You forgot to include a readme, and the level's subtitle is still "your invitation...". Otherwise, nice little level.

    • Update OnePage-Mines v1.3:
Removed Spider Boss (caused a bug when the spider jumped, it returned to a small spider)
New Boss is a Fighter with a guardian script.
      Boss side-kick, a spider.
      New Boss is Much Harder.
      New Boss sidekick, a fighter.
Added spiderweb to all of the boss' chamber.
Instead of missiles, you now need the blue gun
      Removed missiles.

      World record: None yet.

    • First try for Bootcamp 16 seconds. Not bad at all!

    • Version 2: Push It To The Limit

      - Health now 100 HP (was 82)

      - Time now 68 seconds (I think it was 48)

      - I can now beat it in a reasonable time (80 seconds. YAY! I'm bad)

      - Bosses do not go through walls

      - New third mini boss

How To Kill The 3rd Mini-Boss

      Spoiler

You can kill the third boss by killing the middle save zone post.

Which 3rd boss is better: The new one or the old one?

I rather like the new one. Massive clusters of turrets are boring.

Overall, it's quite a nice level now, except that I can't get through the last force field. My computer is running fast today, so the first force field of the pair takes out enough of my momentum that I can't get through the second one. You should replace at least that last one, if not all of them, with normal Force Fields, rather than the current Super Force Fields.

May I refer you to my comment to shishkabibal regarding not releasing a level until you have beaten it? The boss's hitpoints are currently scaled for missiles, and with the spiderwebs all over the place, the player doesn't have enough maneuverability to avoid the boss's shots. I've gotten it down to about 1/3 health, but no farther.
Also, the boss door always closes before I get inside, and half the time the boss is trapped in the Star Room and can't blast open any doors for me.

Are you sure that you used spider sprite type 1 and not type 2?

Doesn't matter- it's a side-effect of the AI. When the spider jumps, it sets the sprite's scale to an absolute value of 100%.

    • Ok. Just give me a little bit of time to fix everything.

    • Version 2.1: Push It To The Limit

      - Health now 92 HP (Before was too much)

      - Time now 44 seconds (Before was too much)

      - Normal force fields (3 normal instead of one super)

Any more comments? Anyone want to rate my level out of 10?

Edit: I'm getting pretty good at my level from beta testing it. Hope you all enjoy it as much as I did making it!

Well, I was aiming mostly for the "green blackboard" colour - e.g., http://www.sxc.hu/pic/m/a/au/automatic/469..._blackboard.jpg.

I might save that for the bigger level though, and make the one-page level on a better sky blue colour.

I'll fix the edges to the paper as well, thanks.

Do you think increasing the health of the boss slightly (to prevent one-hit kills) would help?

I hate to tell you, but three normal Force Fields end up nearly twice as strong as one Super Force Field (9/5ths as strong, to be exact). I now can't get through even the first of that pair of force fields (after I kill the third boss, which apparently is a significant drain on the processor), and they shoot me through so fast that I'm having trouble stopping in the first boss's room to get the blue gun.

Other than that, I'll give it about a 7 out of 10.

Sorry about that it seemed less on my computer and I'm using a iBook G4. I'll Re-upload with one Force Field.

      Version 2.2:

      - wider entrance to boss 1
      - force fields lowed down to one an entrance.

I might be creating a new level. I'll release information later.

Ok. Just give me a little bit of time to fix everything.

I also noticed that the bits of metal plating in the top right are nonsolid, so the player can go through them, get off the page, and then fly back round and fly through the wall to get the last star.
