    • memory Errors

I keep on getting a memory error when I try to load a level. This isn't a problem with the World Data because it happens with 2 different level sets.

It says there isn't enough memory to continue and I should i ncrese memory allocation. Then it quits. I raise the memory, but I still get the error. What's Wrong?

      😕

Then again, I think it is. Can anyone help me? :frown: :frown:

Anyone who solves the problem will get to be one of my three beta testers for the next release of Orthographic Universe 😉

    • I don't think it is your fault. I don't see how your level set could have corrupted mine.

    • All I know is that whenever you get a memory error, it dosn't mean you have a memory error...at least...that's what I've heard... 😕 😕 😕

    • Yep. That's the case with this one. I have 320 MB of RAM, and I don't think ferazel uses that much! 🙂

    • You're not giving FW 320 MB of RAM are you???? Or is that just how much you have? 320 is a ton to give to one program.....although I guess I give Unreal Tournament 317 MB lol.

Of course not! I have 320, and I give Ferazel 23000 KB.

    • EVO did that to me. Verify FW or the data file with ResEdit, then after it says all is repaired, look through it with ResEdit. If there are duplicates of some resourses, delete the duplicates. If that doesn't work, it may be related to the problem with the nodes, if anything is undefined in the nodes you get an out of memory error. Does it happen at startup of FW? If so I'd go with the first solution.

    • Hmmm...would say...having an exit in a level which leads to node "0" (so no node link) cause FW to crash even if the exit taken out of the level has a link? Cat99, try deleting that de-bug exit above the dead guy and see what happens.

    • Maybe it's OS X.

Or maybe the level number doesn't exist (I know that's one scenario).

    • I thought it was OS X as well but cat denies that.

    • Yes, I do. It doesn't work on my old computer w/ OS 8. I think it is the nodes. I have my node set to 1, though, so I have no Idea what is going on wtih them. Dr Tall, min dif I sen dyou my workd data file so you can check them out?
