If EV doesn't launch successfully with your plug-in installed, then chances are that your graphics or sounds are created incorrectly. Escape Velocity loads in all graphics and sounds at start-up. If your graphics and sounds are larger than EV's original ones, you will have to raise the memory allocation for EV. However, there are mistakes that can be made in the plug-in itself that can cause this problem.
The most frequently occurring reason for this is a spin resource referencing a sprite that does not exist, or is a different size from that stated in the resource. In this case, the problem is not that you have too little memory, but that the plug is faulty.
Use PlugChecker (from the add-on files for EV) to sort it out. It works for both EV and EVO.
