Chapter 5:
John jumped out of the way of Hectors first shot, and pulled out a slug throwing pistol. He let off a few shots at Hector but didnt waste time seeing if they had hit. He ran to the hatch while Greg pumped round after round of a submachine gun into Hector. The shots seemed to be hitting but nothing happened. Greg's gun began making a clicking noise, it was out of ammo. Not stopping to reload Greg jumped down the hatch after John, as Hector brought up his fusion pulse gun for another shot.
John and Greg ran through the spaceport not looking back to see if Hector was following. They cleared the doors that would lead to the pad the Utopia was on, only to find themselves face to face with Hector. They both leaped backwards and rant o either side of the door frame as huge ball of red energy ripped past them causing some major property damage to the inside of the spaceport. John tried to return fire as Greg pulled out a small device and begin pressing various buttons on it. There was a loud sound as the Utopias semi turreted fusion pulse guns aimed at Hector. He turned, but was not quick enough, as the guns had already fired. Hector looked in Johns direction just as the shot reached him and knocked him back about 50 meters, yet beside from looking slightly charred Hector got up and marched towards them. Again, not trying anything fancy, John and Greg ran towards the Utopia. They ran to the bridge and Greg sat down in the pilots chair.
Get us out of here! John yelled over the roar of the engines that told him that Greg was doing just that.
The Utopia blasted out of the planets atmosphere with Captain Hectors Shareware Enforcer right behind them.
Chapter 6:
John strapped in and prepared for a fight. The Utopia was powerful, and its Hell hound missiles packed quite a wallop, but from what he had seen they were nothing against Hector. As if to confirm his thoughts, the ship shook quite a bit, and Johns computer console told him they had taken a direct hit from a rathi missile. John targeted Hector with hellhound missiles, telling Greg to cut engines and turn around, so that there inertia would keep carrying them. The Utopia fired 5 hellhound missiles, one after another. 2 missed, however 3 did hit, and one caused a large explosion telling John that it had penetrated Hectors shields. The Shareware Enforcer, slowed to a stop. The Utopia began to close in on the now helpless, dead and drifting thing, that was Hectors starbridge. Captain Hector would have smiled, if his anatomy would have allowed it. Suddenly, the running lights on Hectors ship winked on, John saw it, but it was to late. The last thing he saw was a missile coming directly at his bridge.
Chapter 7:
John woke up in his quarters on the Utopia. He remembered a battle, yes, they had been fighting Hector, and had lost. He had tricked us, yes that was what he had done, and killed us to. But how can I be dead if Im here? John wondered. John hit a button that would retract the protective shade of his window. He looked out expecting to see a star field, but that is not what he saw. Outside the window was a huge amount of metal, with girders, and glass, as well as something that looked like a reactor core. He suddenly knew where he was. He was inside the Bureaus secret project, the weather balloon, the super laser, the saalian brandy, whatever you wanted to call it. The door to his quarters opened, and he turned to see who it was. Hector was strolling into his room as if he owned the place.
Hector and the bureaue? he wondered outloud.
A series of sqawks came from Hector. Hector reached up and minupulated some kind of hidden control on the helmet.
Yes human, I am quite supprised that it took you this long to figure it out said Hector, I do suppose if you had known it would have been nessary to kill you, which would have been such a waste Of course, if now that you know my little secret, you will have to die, on account that you will most likley not keep to yourself what you know about this place. But know matter! he said After all, whats the rush? and with that he tossed a handgun to Johns feet, and almost lazily said: You get a 20 second headstart, I suggest you use it.
