Chapter 3:
The Utopia dropped out of hyper space in the Journeys End system and made its way to the rather unsightly, and only inhabited planet in the system. Greg hailed the space port and got permission to land, while John worked furiously on a keyboard trying to locate the man that Greg said had given him a few pointers when he was just starting out. John suspected that this man had something to do with the Bureau of Internal Investigation, the odd and highly aggressive man (Greg sometimes raved about how it was the bird not the man!) named Hector. John believed that the Bureau of Internal Investigation, and Hector, where somehow linked to the rumored company, Ambrosia Software, which was at its height several thousand years ago. John also believed that the sabotage of the hypergate network was not the doing of the rebellion, but was the twisted work of the Bureau.
"Found him!" John exclaimed.
"Where?" asked Greg
"He's in a spaceport apartment." replied John
"Lets go!" said Greg
Chapter 4:
They did not find a body. All they found was some ashes, with radiation residue from a handheld Fusion Pulse cannon all over them. The ashes where in a small bird house hanging from the subspace net antenna of the space port apartment complex.
"Hector's calling card." muttered Greg.
"Would you shut up about the bird thing?" exclaimed John.
"Even without the bird house, who the hell carries a Fusion Pulse cannon?" said Greg "We've seen one of those on the environmental suit wearing man you claim is Hector, but where else? Its not like their cheap!"
"I guess your right," said John, "and if it is Hector, we had better get off planet as soon as possible."
They turned to go, however before they could even take a step towards the hatch that would lead them down of the roof of the spaceport, they found themselves staring at a tall man wearing an environmental suit with a shaded visor, and yes, he was carrying a fusion pulse cannon.
