My Encounter with UE Law

I just thought this up last night in about five minutes, so, if it is absolutely terrible, don’t let it tarnish my rep forever.

UE Fighter: Are you aware that your ship contains an illegal apparatus?
Me: No.
UE Fighter: You have a space mine launcher attached to the underbelly of your ship.
Me: So...
UE Fighter: I place you under arrest for violation of United Earth Interstellar Code Law 516 stating that-
Me: Hey, they weren’t illegal where I got ‘em.
UE Fighter: So that's the kind you consort with.
Me: Well, not exactly, but-
UE Fighter: You are also charged with violation of United Earth-
Me: Oh, shut up.
UE Fighter: -behavior unfitting a citizen of a civilized race-
Me: Shove off.
UE Fighter: -two counts.
Me: Go to h-
UE Fighter: Prepare to be boarded.
Me: Who, me?
UE Fighter: You.
Me: By who?
UE Fighter: Me.
Me: Bull-
UE Fighter: (Rocket launch, explosion, my ship is shaken.) “Resisting arrest.”
Me: Alright, alright, airlock’s in the back.
UE Fighter: That’s more like it.
Me: (Space mine launch, explosion, UE Fighter does not respond, I enter hyperspace).

Stupid, funny, good, pathetic, don’t submit again? Please give me some feedback. Also, should there be a sequel?

I'm the author, but my "account" was deleted sometime this summer with a bunch of others. Someone else gave me a spare one, so I am now Colours. Sequel with be posted soon, it's actually part one of a three part series which is already written, so you'll get the full treatment.
