And Scott... a PC isn't too bad. There are (yes, I know this is an unpopular opinion) worse platforms out there. My first few years playing EV/O were spent on a Mac that wouldn't let me connect, so I had to use a PC as a "halfway man" to post stuff etc. Even to work on my (then just developing) site! So DOCMaker format doesn't run on a PC? Shame... but it shouldn't be too difficult to export the text. Then Talos, you could take some screenshots of it so he can see the title pics etc...

Do you know of any text format for windows-PC? JPEGs can be used for screenshots, but how do you make a .txt file?

The thing I like about the humble .txt document is that it is almost universal. PCs can read .txt docs the same way that Macs do.
SimpleText creates .txt files, and MS Word has the option of "Save as .txt"...
But any spëçíål characters will not translate without Mac/PC translators working on it. However, if you've used special characters frequently, you could use HTML to fix that, as HTML IS the universal, multi-platform ideal... with symbol designations like the & amp; signs... though that may not have worked. I left a space in it to stop it from becoming: "&".
JPEGs are great for images. You get OKish quality, and great compression for low filesizes...

Docmother is basicly my dream plug ever since I started playing EVO. The idea of someone having their own top secret empire out in space with unbelievable technology just seemed over my head, but in a good way. As I have said in the past, and I'll say it again.

It will most likely be showing up at Invalid Directory very, very soon in the Override section. So, if you don't wanna be left hangin' then check it out at:

Keep in mind, however, that it will take a short amount of time, so don't be surprised if you don't see it there after the like. . .first 2 days of this post. It will be there, and most likely be the first place that it will show up.
Chronicles By Jake101 is looking fabulous, and will be completed soon, just to let you fans know.
Also, the Docmother plug is continuing to move along with ease. Programming has begun and the first Karticel system has been made. Outfit construction, and the last of the ship graphics is to follow, and if lucky, we just might be able to have the Docmother plug-in be released by the end of 2000 or January of 2001.
Plus, not only that, but The Renegade Conspiracy story will be started when Chapter 15 of Jade's Return is complete. Chapter 15 will most likely be done soon enough. As long as I have time, I can write. However, keep in mind that I'm busy right now with the plug-in, and school.
ZAK IS BACK, JACK! UE Fighter Vol. 2 has been completed today and has already been sent to Talos, and the Chronicles themselves. Chapters 10 and 11 will be posted soon enough. Also, Vol. 2 is as short as Vol. 1, so just keep in mind that UE Fighter IS IN FACT, on a smaller scale than Jade's Return, so you'll be reading more about/of Docmother than Zak Coleman's crazy events. 
Also, when one of these things is posted, you'll be seeing it appear in the Newswire headlines, most likely.

I'm being swamped here!
I haven't posted a story on my site in ages, because I've (embarassingly) developed a backlog. But I'll start trying to break it, so yes, two to three days should be the least of what I'm gonna need...
And Scott, please send me the UE Fighter thing only after I've finished with the Jade's Return chapts. This will enable me to think straight for the next couple of days...
And BTW folks, work is going very well at the Harzius Productions site. I've redone all the subsections. With nice new title graphics and layout.

Hehe, I figured you had enough work with both I.D., and Harzius, that's one reason I didn't send you Vol. 2. And yeah, I saw the new stuff you did, I like the Projects logo, it looks sweet. The web board is pretty neato too.
Oh, and BTW, Docmother just might need your help after all. Depending on how things go in the next few weeks of the plug's construction I'll keep ya in. Besides, you also might be able to beta test it.

I got the new chapters! 
I've gotten chapter 2 of UE Fighter almost done, but I still have to work on chp. 10+11 of Jade's Return. The Docmother plug is coming along, and the graphics look great. I coded in Karticel I, complete with a planet, a station, bars, asteroids, ships, and sensor interference. Next To Come: outfits, ships, missions, more sÿst and spöb, weapons, and everything else. But we're getting there!
Scott, I'll send you some more of "Chronicles by Jake101" tomorrow. I can't wait to get more plugin jobs!

Ah, I see you're suffering from the "I just learned how to..." syndrome. It'll wear off... but you can reactivate it occasionally. I must have written around twenty little never-to-be-released-or-even-finished plugins when I first started. The only one that saw the light of downloading was Quit FE 1.0.(I think it's 2 now)... which I'm proud to say spent a day at the #1 slot on the "popularity ladder" with 100%. It's doing incredibly well for such a simple little utility plugin.
And isn't your email addy "ericmkrauss@mac.com" or something of that species? I got a message from you at that address back on Tuesday (29th Aug 2000)...
Cheerz Scott, you're absolutely right. I haven't been doing any work on Invalid Directory recently, since Harzius and homework (impending school is firing my "ohmygodididn'tfinishthe(insert subject here)project!!" boosters) are sucking up all my time right now. And since I'm 11 hours ahead of John the Corpse, I have to stay up late and/or get up early to send him graphics and stuff.
So I'll try to have all this backlog cleared within the next few days. Couldn't say exactly when though... I'm not that confident.
And if you need any help with the Docmother thingy, I'll do it. It just may take a little extra time... get John to send me anything in one of our regular "here's one I prepared earlier" sessions.
Right, I'm off to code "Galaxy's End" so I can get on with Jade's Return and hopefully clear this up...

Alright, I'll write up some missions. I'm hoping you got my pervious beginning of the string I sent you? It's not the entire string, or anywhere near that, but it's the beginning of the first mission. Did ya get it when I sent it?
Also, as for those sprites, you can either wait for me to fix my Icq, or take the faster way, and have Deadboy send them over to you.
If I were you, I'd take the faster way, but maybe that's just me.
