I'm not calling him a cheater, I'm saying how it's a very cheap move. It's playing like you don't think you can win so you force your opponent to do nothing but avoid or stop the attacks so that all he can do is protect himself until he loses.
With Ioni, the flowers can be avoided when you work with your magnet, Ducky just makes the ball move around, mini t there are various ways to stop but with bombtastic if they start to spam than oyu have to be forced to play it so all you can do is catch the bombs until you finally lose.

I have to agree with Overrider here. I played a bomb spammer on extreme recently, and killed them in 16 seconds when they didn't use the bombs. When they did, however, I could do absolutely nothing but block bombs, and so lost. In my way of thinking: hm, lots of bombs, maybe they're trying to make up for something.

I can usually tell if someone is going to bomb-spam me - they start building up their power bar very early. If they do, I just start spamming my ability back at them - if I'm anyone (except possibly Ioni) it usually stops them in their tracks.

I don't think anyone was arguing, I think we were all discussing (it is a discussion board :)). I also think that we were posting our own thoughts for everyone to hear, and none of us expressed any signs (that I can see) that we wanted everyone to have the same opinions as ourselves. It just happened that something that made you angry enough to post didn't bother any of the rest of us. No big deal.

And, on another note, the point of a game can mean many things to many people. Some people play games to interact, some to have fun, and some to win. You play the game to have fun, fine, but is another player who plays a game to win "WRONG?" The difference between saying that and saying "The point of pop-pop is to lose as quickly as possible, and anyone who thinks that the purpose is to win is WRONG" is... what?

For those of you defending against bomb spammers, pretend you're juggling. The key to juggling is not looking at each ball but to look at the area all the balls are moving in.
Focus on the center of the screen, then use your peripheral vision to get an idea of your opponents energy bar (to see how long the bombardment might last), where the bombs are falling and where the lowest bricks are on your side. If due to the autodowner, the salvo will continue even after your bricks have fallen below the line of destiny, time the destruction of the lowest bricks with the falling bombs.
If you practice juggling or using your peripheral vision enough, you can even time getting a superball, launching it at 45 degree angles and charging your special for when the ball returns for a massive counterattack, while you catch bombs or dodge bullets.

I have no problems dealing with people who "spam" bombs. Activate your magnet, and grab all the bombs.
Not hard.
If you have problems with that then you either have a co-ordination problem, or your mouse isn't set at a high enough speed...It is as simple as hell to grab those bombs.
And by the way, "spamming" can, and is done, with every other special attack. That is the point of the game(to use the functions provided in the game to win), if you haven't noticed. People who are able to "spam" their special attack verses you - are obviously much better players. If you keep your opponent busy with blocks, then they can't use their special. If they are able to activate their special 5 times in a row then you are dishing up some major suckage. No offense. lol.
There may be some slight unbalances in the specials, but nothing that goes as far as "using mini t is cheating" or "spamming bombs is lame". Some are harder to counter than others, but you've just gotta learn how to... Ambrosia knows how to make good games. : )
It's a competition. You play to win. If you don't want to compete, then don't.

What's even worse is when your oppenent gets a massive combo of bricks, and then then start spamming. When that happens, you are unable to do anything about the masses of bricks that appear on your screen. Truely a pain in the ass.

I think he wrote this about me. I played him as bombastic (he was ALSO bombastic, by the way) and 2 rounds into a 3 round game he started complaining about my use of bombs. Whatever. I played him before and I didn't like how he gloated when he beat me, and now he's whining when I'm winning? I ended the game right there, and I'm never playing him again. Whining/Complaining are not part of the game either, dude. THAT is what ruins the game, not the way people play the game.. the way people act in chat.

Synotic whines if he isn't winning, and I am not the only one that thinks that. The whining when loosing, and just disconnecting, it is really immature and gets old fast.

MCz Cheez also seems to do it but completely different.. the first time I played him I beat him the first two rounds.. he cancels the game.. then I get annoyed.. and play him again.. and beat him the first round and he immediatly cancels.. Has anyone else experienced this or is he just trying to annoy me? Even before I wouldn't cancel a game right in the middle just because I lost one round.

Well, I've played him once in the past and he didn't disconnect mid-game.. and I did win the first round (also the third, fourth :D).
