    • The super smash powerup: A bug, or a feature?

      7 10 310

You know the powerup that lets you hold the ball, then shoot it through an entire column of bricks? The green circle, Well, if you either have a fully charged paddle before you get the powerup, or if you click the mouse once more when you've gotten the powerup, you're no longer forced to hold the ball, and shoot it off at an angle if you so please. The ball stays green the whole time and goes through all bricks, which can be a heck of a lot. Is this a bug, or a feature?

    • My guess was always that it was a bug.

    • The clicking before it hits to releast it automatically makes sense, so that probably isn't a bug. The other, however, might be.

    • I'd think it's a feature. In any event, I hope it stays in. It's a nice attack that you can only do as luck sees it.

It isn't a bug, it is a feature. If you don't click the mouse the ball will stick to the paddle, if you do click the mouse, the ball will bounce like it normally would (think about this-- major opportunity here)

    • You're not bloody wrong. A good smack can almost clear an entire screen's worth of bricks.. Nasty.

I can pull this almost every time. Since I'm not very good compared to a lot of people, my guess is that you all can, too. Therefore, if almost everybody can pull that off almost all of the time, why doesn't it do it in the first place? (I.E. never sticks)

      (Wow, that was confusing!)

    • Everybody can cast a special, so why not just let bombs/flowers rain down constantly? It adds variety to plays and to gameplay for there to be "secrets". Sometimes being able to catch and re-position is more helpful (ie: if the only remaining bricks are in a straight line)

    • This is most definately not a bug. I constantly use the super ball powerup by hitting it at angles so that it clears more balls.

I would be very sorry if this was ever removed 😕
      It makes sense to me.
