Creator of the great new plugin for ares "Earth's Journey Back To The Stars"

    • So these are the ones we have so far:

      Marathon
      The Gap Series
      The Foundation
      Dune
      Babylon 5
      Star Wars
      Star Trek

That Babylon 5 plugin caught me completely by surprise. I don't even know who the author was!

    • Interesting, I wonder what other plugs there are being made that we don't know about

    • Who didn't know about it? I'm sure we all did, but forgot. He did put up a topic a long time ago about it - I guess we just didn't know that he was actually going to go through with thew idea 😉

    • Aaaghhh, I just watched a Babylon 5 episode. The script was terrible, but it had a nice 'environment', so I might just watch one again...

Hey, I just watched episode 1 of the Television-series 'Dune' not the movie, the television series. Let me say that the graphics were very impressive, but unlike in the movie, the actors weren't very good and the script was terrible (that's what you get for deviating from the book!) If only they'd merged the 2 together...

    • Fellas, I just typed up a huge charasterics thing for SETR, that I couldn't let go to waste in my own computer. Here it is, every quality a race can have:

Individual: The society preserves citizens with unique personalities.
Selfishness: Often the citizens of the species’ abuses the society for his/her own personal benefit.
Ego: Species has a great opinion of itself that is not shared by fellow races.
Collectivity: Sacrificing oneself for the greater number is a common virtue.
Actual Collective: Each citizen’s thoughts are pooled and controlled by a single, unified, conciousness.
Happiness: The outlook of the species is generally happy, and so are they!
Moody: The outlook of the species is prone to changing between despondent and delighted.
Similar: Each citizen is capable of replicating another citizen - there is no absolutely unique citizen.
Sadness: Basically the race is depressed by life.
Compulsiveness: Often citizens’ do things without actual thought, or spontaneously.
      Shabbiness: Things are sloppily produced.
Mystery: The race is surrounded in mystery.
Cleanliness: Everything is pristine, and germ-free.
Sterility: Citizens are not produced via sex, but ‘manufactured.’
Self-centred: They disregard other races, and think them inferior by default.
Choleric: Prone to reacting very violently over things that really don’t matter to other species.
      Tempermental: Prone to changing opinion.
Outgoing: Lacks the usual amount of xenophobia in most species.
Xenophobic: Automatically hostile to other species.
      Friendly: Friendly to weaker/primitive races.
Good: Always doing the ‘right’ thing.
Bad: Actions tinged with a desire to hurt others.
Evil: Prone to massacring others for no reason.
Crusader-type: Universally-shared belief in something, that usually requires war...
Computer Orientated: Society makes overwhelming use of computers/computer-organic brains.
Cyborgs: Cannot exist without machinated part of being.
Total-organic: Doesn’t make use of artificial implants or genetic-engineering for whatever reason.
Long-history: A very, very, old race.
Medium-history: Around for the Reprisal wars or near.
Short-history: Newly inducted into the galactic politic.
Newbies: Very new race, but not primitive.
Elder: Citizens can live for more than a million years.
Dark: Does things it wants... unscrupulously.
      Mysterious: Acts extremely odd.
Respected: Most races respect this race.
High-tech: Can butcher the navies of most.
Medium-tech: Advanced enough to hold their own in galactic wars.
Low-tech: Not advanced enough to hold out against a major galactic power.
Slaver: Takes over other races, and uses them to do things, (without former consent).
No morals: No thing is too disgusting or evil to further their ends...
Few morals: Will stop at some things...
Very morally guided: No action is acceptable outside moral bounds.
Primitive: Race is primitive. Easily butchered by even low-tech races.
Powerbroker type: Likes to play other species against each other...
Enforcer type: No nonsense is tolerated.
Colonial type: Expands for more and more colonies.
Policemen type: Considers it a duty to right wrongs in things it has nothing to do with.
Foreign coup type: Likes to take control of other species, without actual combat, or from a distance.
Slave: A race that is enslaved.
Subservient: A servant race, or a weak race bowing under pressure from a stronger one, a ‘puppet race.’
Lower echelon: A race low in a slaver’s slave-race heirarchy.
Higher echelon: The opposite of a lower echelon.
Religious: Belief in a higher power.
Emulating: Emulates the virtues of other races.
Scientific: Each citizen knows the more complicated parts of it’s tech-tree.
Search-for-knowledge: The race is, instead of being driven by power, by a search for knowledge.
Inferiority complex: If it is treated without respect may raise a mighty clamour.
Resented: Other races resent this races’ existence.
Hated: Most races hate this one.
Disliked: Most races do not like interfacing with this one.
Shunned: Most races would have nothing to do with this one.
Beaurocratic: Alot of it’s government is beaurocratic rubbish.
Effecient Beaurocratic: Governed by an extremely effective beaurocracy.
Ridiculous Beaurocratic: Hopelessly tangled in a bible of useless red-tape.
Loose government: Each citizen is entrusted with ‘a key to the welfare of the society.’
Loosely governed: Race is controlled by another - loosely.
Owned by: Owned by this race.
Higher Thought: Higher thought can totally erase the wants of the subconscious or animal self/instict.
Disregarded: Little attention is payed to this race.
Alliance type: Has a penchant for establishing alliances with other races.
      Discrete: Does all things discretely.
Total Coord.: All things in the society have perfect coordination with each other.
Static Society: Society is not susceptible to change.
Feared: Feared by most other races.
AI: An intelligence evolved and created in a completely electronic form.
Safe Path: You choose future discomfort for immediate benefit.
Medium Path: You take steps to balance future and immediate discomfort equally.
Strong Path: You choose to suffer discomfort now, for future benefit
