    • "I didn't know you made house calls, Pegasus!"

"You know our motto, We Deliver!"

Bob could see the ATR's infantry support guns swiveling around, scanning for motion.

"Move it marines, Go Go Go!"

Ten heavies coasted the sixty feet down to the station;s surface, foming a perimeter around the gaping hole that Pegasus had cut in the station's outer hull. The marines were pulling themselves and their wounded up into the ATR's recovery airlock, a large bay door on the bottom of the craft. Inside, two medics were waiting to speed the critically wounded through the airlock and to the transport's medical bay. Bob watched and waited until every last one of his marines was off, then saluted to the lieutenant leading the heavies, one of his own platoon leaders, and rocketed up to the ship. The heavies followed suit, breaking perimeter and moving up while the ship covered them. As soon as everyone was accounted for,the ship pulled away. Bob shook his head as he watched the station receding as the ATR headed for the carrier, closing its outer doors. He walked throught he bio-lock, then into the locker room to remove his suit and sit down. It had been a long day, and he'd still need to go through a very thorough debriefing with his officers and the captain of the Musgrove. They had actually accomplished much of their mission despite the calamities. They had recovered a test subject, and had left local taps on several terminals, each with extremely high access levels.

All the same, he still felt beaten. He wanted to go and get payback for the two marines he had lost today, and the others who were still not safe.

      The Hard-Boiled Egg
      Why?
      Because she cant be beaten!

    • Darkk endured the decon scans, and the debriefings. He'd be yelled at a little for all this, but he was glad he'd had the chance to keep his skills in working order. When he finally got back to his "metal prison" on the science vessel, it felt more like a nice, comforting den.

He'd be glad of the chance to rest up - at least for awhile. He'd have to consider more of these hands on missions. His edge must be maintained.

(Next up: EVATs blow Cantharan astroming complex with hidden shipyard facility in a banned-by-treaty zone after ambassador dumarse flubs it. Darkk is the "Technical Observer" on the mission.

Those who don't wish to come can have another nice, big fight.)

    • (Well, actually, I was going to start up the boarding of the Cantharan Carrier now; I'll put up the situation, and we might end up having a Chapter 2a and 2b; some might want to have a character in each.)

"On your six! Get to the Carrier. Mother Goose gotta lay her eggs!"
The four Gunships arced towards the Closed Fist of Doz, preparing to drop the fighters they were dragging along and dodging PKs from the surrounding fighters.

The pilot of Silverman's fighter dropped off from the Gunship and swerved toward the looming Carrier. The Carrier raced towards the fighter at what seemed to be a rather unhealthy rate.
      "Retro fire in 3...2...1..."
The fighter landed on the Carrier's side and quickly began cutting through the hull. Silverman prepared to drop through the side with his squad. He hoped he hadn't enlisted on a suicide mission...
