    • An Idea For The RPG

Well, we've done a lot of attacking big stuff (Salrillian Ring, Audemedon Gateship, Starlance...), but we haven't done any defending, or everybody fighting for the same thing (like a planet with some special minerals in it's crust or something). I say we change! Attacking big stuff is getting monotonous! Who's with me?

      - Al Capone

    • Me, well actually I'm planning on raiding a Gaitori planet with some surprises. If you come, you'll see, but you need to hurry to catch up with the Azurewrath for its well on its way. I know this may be not what you meant, but oh well.

      ------------------

    • Well, the secret stuff involves option 2...
      heh heh heh
And option 1 might happen soon...
      (Sargatanus/SA's call)
Heck, make a subplot! I did it. Slug did it. Do something about it.

      ------------------
Me: You ******* IDIOTS!! That planet was INHABITED!!!
      Them: Ooops
Me: Let's resume this disscussion near airlock 13.
(immediatly following the first disrupter missle test)

    • I was the Lord Admiral of the Salrilian Defense Fleet during the ring battle. Don't try it. It's boring and it only gets people pissed off at you.

    • Sort of like a metaphor for life.

      ------------------
can't see too far. can't see too well.
it's all the ending and you're in hell.

    • The überplot advances, as per the norm. Running off on sub-plots is allowed, have fun doing it. Just make sure when critical scenes show up, the right people are involved in them.

And stuff other than attacking big ships? Defending, you say? Oh, don't worry. We're looking a fight-for-your-lives situations later in the story. But you'll find out more as it comes. 🆒

    • I won't be in the RPG, but I will read it often.

    • Is there anything anyone could use me for? I want to be in the story...anyone need an expendable ship or anything? just as long as I dont get killed or anything...and an idea for destroying the Starlance...create a small jumpgate or wormhole that opens right infront of the starlance as it is going forward...then as it moves forward, the starlance will drill a hole right through itself as the jumpgate is not exactly a weapon and is like a wormhole...sort of...but just wondering...will the shields prevent this from happening? and could something going at omnidrive go through the Starlance...would that have any effect on it? how does omnidrive work? does it create spacial ripples that disrupt things that it goes through? these are just ideas to get rid of the Starlance and move the main plot onto other things...i hope they would work...

as to putting me in the plot...i am just in a moderately modified terran gunship retrofitted with just about anything that would improve its chances of surviving in a battle...any race is acceptable...perhaps i am introduced at that big drydock place where Pharris is doing his retrofits...

The StarLance issue has already been resolved. The main plot is going back to politics for the moment, and currently has all of the mercenaries it needs for now, and there really aren't any openings. If you have an idea for a plot modification or subplot or something, send it to (url="http://"mailto:Sargatanus@hotmail.com")mailto:Sargatanus@hotmail.com(/url)Sargatanus@hotmail.com

    • I'll be having a subplot if Sargatanus likes it, so keep tuned, as it does involve defending.

Oh, and as for characters being where they need to: StormBreaker is a character, as I depend on him in our joined-mind state: anything happens to him, and Darkk sits out the rest in a mental institution. That's one of the BIG disadvantages to being merged with your ship.

After Slug and the Barbarossa, I'm not taking chances on that.

Nothing dies that easily. After all, there was a Barbarosa II

    • Yah, but even a that's a ship. StormBreaker WITHOUT the italics is a character AND a part of me. StormBreaker II wouldn't have the connection to bring back my sanity.

In any case, the Barbarosa II was an effort on my part to get some testing done by a competant outsider.

This doesn't really need an in-depth discussion.

    • I think I would like to be a mercenary to join up with anyone who would need an extra ship for an escort...perhaps darkk could use my ship as a sort of beta tester like what he did with Pharris...like maybe a prototype warp core ( Descent 2 ) that can teleport a ship to anyplace in the known universe instantaneously, but something goes wrong and the coordinates are all reversed and end up in the middle of one of the katana fleet parts, the one that couldn't be found even after finding all the others because it got sucked into a randomizing wormhole and I accidentally find it, but it is in a part of the universe not yet explored and the warp core needs accurate starcharts to activate, so i get stuck with a fleet of abandoned ships, and i send a pulsed message in all directions and eventually someone picks up my signal and i am found again...with the rest of the katana fleet. or perhaps someone hires me and my ship is pounded into as close to dust as atoms can get... 🙂

    • umm, does that mean i am also on the drydock? in uncharted territory? • I'll tell you how to get in-or in a way how other new people did, but I won't guarantee you'll make it. There are a few steps of course:

      1. Impress everyone on the boards with your high maturity level.

      2. E-mail Sargatanus and Sundered Angel and make a sacrifice on an alter every day until they reply (just do the sacrifice, not the e-mail every day). The sacrifice can't be a fellow Ares board member, but the EV people have had an abundance of members recently...

      3. Come up with an exciting, yet reasonable, history of your character, and a decent description of the character and ship/fleet to go with it.

      4. You can guess this one.

      ------------------

    • I already made a description on the "Life Stories" of AWB members board, tell me what you think...anyone...? though i think i will prefer one of the moderators to reply to this...or anyone from "The Buildup"...if there are any things you would like me to change, i will gladly listen to the advice...

    • Well, compaired to my early stuff, yours is plenty mature (at least IMHO).
As for a job, I'm having a tough time getting (acceptable) support for my action against the pirates. You could email me.
