    • Shut up, herriot. it's O-V-E-R
What would the gaitori have to do with a Salrilian ring since they hate the Salrilians?

    • Shut up. I was going to flame you.

    • And yeah, maybe Newt was right. You are a moron, slug.

    • He's the moron?
You are the one who made that part about the Gaitori on the Salrilians' side.
Every ARES fan knows that the Slugs and the Bugs (Salrilians and the Gaitori) do not like each other.

      Herriot : just shut up.

    • As far as I'm concerned, you're both morons. Good Day.

    • Obviously the Sals and Gaitori aren't friends, or else the Salrilians wouldn't be giving cloaking tech to the Obish, who are at war with the Gaitori.

    • Well, right NOW (year 2000) the Gaitori and Obish are at war, but during the game, they aren't anymore. But they still don't like each other. If you don't beleive me, read the mission breifing for
      INTO THE FIRE

      Have a nice day 😛

    • It almost seems unfair... no one likes the Gaitori, who have only their own primitive tech, but people can't dump gifts on the Obish, who have both Salrilian AND Ishiman technology fast enough. The Sals and Ishimans are practically the biggest rivalry in the game, and yet they're both dumping gifts on the Obish. Oh well, the Obairds are cooler anyhow.

    • Since the Gaits are such morons they send all their fighters to attack the Sals in 'The Revolt'. They come too late... and get their guts beaten out. Of course Slug ejects straight into a fighter and tries to beat the Gait in hand-to hand combat. He loses, being a slug...

    • hmmm.... maybe I should make a plug based on the Gaitori-Obiard wars.....
Or a plug based on the Gaitori suddenly being jealeous of the humans and attacking Earth
(Gaitor and Sol are pretty close together, if you take a good look)
I guess this isn't really the place to post this, but this thread seems to be going nowhere...

    • Your Gait-Obiard wars thing would be good, but the Gait-human wars would be strange because their ships are both white and the human's laster turrets
      would beat the Gaits silly.

If you make the Gait-Obiard thing, give the Obiards more ships and the ability
to build the Battleship in Chapter 12.

    • What a new ares plugin really would need, although this would be very hard, is a intirly new race, or maybe a continuation of all the elejeetian units (ive always wanted to see an elejeetian HVD). 🙂

    • Maybe a Elejeetian HVD could have 6000 shields, a tri-forward rapid Onas pulse gun, a rapid fire Neewo beam turret, and a third weapon. The third weapon could be something completly new, like maybe a weapon that does only like 15 damage, but it homes in at superlight speeds. i dunno, just thinking out loud. Cant wait till the next, uh, like role playing thing. Those are actualy quite entertaining. cya 😄

    • What about the Grolk?? :frown:
Everyone's forgetting about them! I mean, admit it : you are all curious what a Grolk Carrier would look like. Their ships would be hella cheap 😛

    • Grolk?! You have got to be kidding me. They suck worse than the Gaitori and that is pretty frickin pathetic. 😛 No, a new race would be really cool, like maybe the Qzantiest or something, their ships could be like a dark metallic red and their ships could look kinda like Sal ships except longer and wider in some parts and sharper than Sal ships are. The race could look almost salamander like except they stand upright and have heads simialer to that of the ones in the "Alein" movies. Also there tails could be longer stronger thicker and more comodo dragon-ish. They could have originally come from a rouge star outside of our galaxy. The weapons would have to be very differnt and more unique than the similar technology found amoung all the races (photokenitic beams are way overused in my opinion). I was thinking of something like Quantum Scatter Burst or Tachyon Ray. The QSB would be a weapon on larger less muneuverable ships that emits something that looks like the sparking contrail behind a Nuclear pulse that goes out in all directions, each spark could do like, 30 damage. And the Tachyon Ray would be a beam that would go at FTL speeds, this weapon would have reletivly weak damage. Even though it wouldnt be very damageing, it would ave the strange effect of going back through time. So it would look like this: you would see a small explosion on a ship, you would see the beam coming from the Qzantiest ship, then you would see a small flare from the ship when it prepares to fire. This would be difficult to make but I know how: Just make the beam auto-guided and super fast and invisible, then make the secound stage of the weapon fire a non damaging beam that would appear to come from the Qzantiest ship, then make the third stage create a small flare from firing the weapon. I guess those weapons would be pretty cool. And for a heavy damageing weapon there could be a Quantatron pulse that would look like the warp inout flare that travels slowly and keeps flashing as it goes, but it would do something like 350 damage. 😄

      ------------------

    • You think the HUMANS would beat the gaits silly? The Obish are at least 2X as good, that Escort is supposed to be thier equivilant to the cruiser... It would be notoriously cool though, a gait obish plug. If you were doing it, to represent that the Obish aren't using their own tech, but tech given to them, make their ships cost a whack more. That'd balance it out. Plus they're pretty confined. When the humans show them that they don't have to take that from the Gaitori, they get mad.

Why does everyone have this idea that the Elejee are invulnerable? You people do realise that the Elejee cruiser is identical to the Audemendon one, except that the aud one has the hologram? And look how bad the aud HVD is. Besides, just because other species have HVDs doesn't mean that the Elejee would... They're peaceful and arrogant, but when they strut their stuff they really do. I think that most Elejee missions would be more like Hornets Nest than anything else, because they don't like building ships. They'd give you X ships, you go in and clear the system. Then they send you a transport, or an ATR, or they give you one at the begining, but only 1.

And the whlole point of an HVD is that it's supposed to be like a ming vase with a rocket launcher: It's able to lay down the beats, but if it gets hit it's toast. That's why they cost so much but are so fragile compared to carriers. A 6000 hp HVD is insane, it would be unstopable and you would never need to build a single ship. You could take that sucker in against an Ishiman fleet and toast it in a second with the triple onas beast.

    • Your right, 6000 is pretty dumb, but it would still be a cool plug, id have a misson similar to what you siad, probably. But they would have to be hard man, like maybe going up agaisnt like 20 Sal carriers or somethin, or trying to destroy a super soupedup aud battle station. i dunno, just the thought of shooting 3 Onas pulses at once towards my enemys and wiping out medium fleets with the rest of the weapons is extremly satisfieing to me. thanks for replying though.
