At the same time, the string for this cluster is 95.042% combat related (made that up, but almost all missions in this cluster will be combat related), so you won't have escorts (unless you hired/captured them), there'll just be a bunch of ships in system Max number of ships is 64 right? Correct me if I'm wrong. Of course, the spobs would have to be set to always attack the player and nobody else. Will that also account for your escorts too?

    • Okay, just throwing up some screenshots of the planets King of Manticores made for me. Yes, I did scale it down a little bit, but I really like the 'massive planet' look. It adds a sense of realism that, in my opinion, the EV series didn't offer.

      1255p by 1264p to be exact.

      And yes, that's pretty big. It's beautiful work though, and a lot of the quality is lost by downsizing it. Plus realism, but that's just a benefit.

    • Here's one system I am having problems with. A while ago I asked Dave, creator of Neoplanets 2 Beta if I could borrow some graphics, and he said okay, and I copied the resources to the Regenesis file. I put the gas giant under the station Unim Shipyards. Supposedly. So I test it in Nova, and I get this. However, I move the planet and the station, swap them on the list on the right, and nothing. I haven't tested the field that says type, but I don't know what it does.

    • If you want the station to be on top of the planet, you need the planet to be listed above the station. That's how it overlaps them. I don't know what could cause the station to still appear under the planet despite being under the planet in the list, however.

      The type field tells the spöb which graphic to use. I'm fairly certain it has nothing to do with the order in which spöbs overlap.

    • I tried that, and it's still underneath.

    • I needed to make the graphic smaller, and I did, so it looks fine now.
      But that's not all I have!
      I figured out a really good way to make outfit graphics. You click on your item that you want as your outfit, and click edit group. A gray bounding box will pop up, and everything will go darker besides your outfit. Export an image. Then, you downsize it, and you're done! Voila!

      This is off of the players starting ship, the Light Attack Fighter.

      But I've run into a problem. I tried to make weapons graphics out of Delphi's sample energy weapons as placeholder graphics, but as soon as I bought the outfit and took off, the weapon wouldn't fire. At all. I've got some screenshots of the resources, and I can't tell what's wrong.

    • I believe your problem is the graphic. Weapon resources point to the spïn resource for the graphic, and spïn resources for weapons can only have an ID anywhere from 3000-3999. Any more or less and I believe weapon sprites won't show up.

      That would definitely be my problem. The resource ID# is 8999. Thanks a lot!

    • The 'Graphic' field's help tag tells you the officially accepted range, but perhaps I need an invalid-entry warning as well?

      DarthKey: The version of the Nova Bible that I have handy says 3000-3255. Can you confirm that higher values work?

    • Actually, the bible is right in this case. As I tried to make clear in my post, I was unsure of the exact values. Now, however, I can confirm what the bible says.

      So can I, I used 3999 and it didn't work.
      I believe I have it working now, but I'll double check.

    • I've set that field to turn red if you enter a value outside the accepted range. Incidentally, it's always worth checking out MissionComputer's help tags — the majority of fields have at least a quotation from the Nova Bible.

    • At the same time, it leaves things blank. No offense, it's a great program, but I don't understand everything, and a lot of those don't have the boxes. Anyway, still having difficulty with shans, got all of the planet graphics in place, but I need to find spin resource 135 for it to boot without the Nova files.

    • What do you mean 'find spïn 135'? As far as I know, that specific spïn resource ID isn't required for EVN to boot. If it's displaying an error along the lines of 'Error loading spïn from PICT, Resource ID: 135' then that means the resource is there, but it's pointing to a graphic that isn't. Try booting up EVN and take a screenshot of the error message, then post that screenshot here. If my hunch is correct, it's actually a shän resource you have that's pointing to the wrong rlëD ID, and that shän's ID would be 135 in this case.

      Well, after The Final Chapter is released (odd, it's supposed to be final), there will be one more chapter released, titled Resurrection. I don't yet have a graphic, but when I do it will be posted here. I might make more after Resurrection, I don't know. I'm slowly watching the decline of my mac, so I may not get that far. Anyway, it starts loading, gets kind of far, and then this pops up. After this, Nova crashes. Hmm. Also need to make the title graphic bigger. Much bigger. The resource 135 may have something to do with the lightning, which I'm using as a placeholder graphic. Come to think of it, I need to make buttons... Anyway, I'm thinking the lightning, but I'm not sure of anything.
