    • You can add as many buttons as you like to the spaceport, as long as you don’t interfere with the item numbering of the existing buttons and fields.

      However, your new buttons won’t do anything, as the features that those buttons invoke are all hard-coded into the engine an unchangeable.

      I am going to be working on the shipyard window in a bit and I believe this will have some cross over to other windows like hire escort, outfits, etc. I was just wondering if I should keep the "selection area" part of the window the same for the sake of the game engine only displaying rows of 5, or if that can be amended?

      Q11b: Can this "selection area" window be circular? (disregard if 11a answers: restricted to 5)
      I was thinking of making the area a circular shape so it would be cool if the selection squares are hidden once out of the "circle" but if not then forget it... (I'll find out if this works or not anyway but I thought I would through it out there in case someone knows a trick to make it work if it doesn't on its own which I think is the case...)

      Try changing the shape, and see what it does. If the game’s automatic response isn’t the one you want, though, there’s nothing you can do to change it.

      No. With this, and your desire for new buttons, you’re getting well into the realm of things that require new programming, which isn’t an option unless you write your own game (or, I suppose, get involved with an open-source project like Naev).

    • Yeah, I figured I was leaving the arena of just transforming the game and entering the area of making my own... I'm not planning on learning any programming... yet anyway. So I'll stick with what the game can do already and work around its limitations when I can. I have already got a way to make the main spaceport circular and as long as the texture for the spaceport is not too complex, the buttons can be any shape I want. I guess I could link a pic, just know this is still a work in progress...

      This is not a screenshot obviously but in game it works with an image in the circle 🙂
