Another Marathon fan. I'm glad they still exist, but I do wish they'd find their own metier.

Suppose so, but really it is an excellent storytelling style and I'm surprised that it was never used extensively in other sci-fi. The only other time I've seen something similar used was in Halo, and there's obviously some overlap there.

Besides, I only used Marathon as inspiration above. But I will try to move farther away from it in my future writings.
