Hrm. If you had several copies of the application and preference files, it is possible that they were having trouble keeping track of themselves.

Sometimes odd things happen that we'll never know the reasons for!

I'm really glad to hear you have it working now. Don't worry about the give-aways, there are still some pretty good secrets in SE. As I have said before, this is a well-crafted plugin.
