    • LifeKnight, you lose the challenge again. Remember, the one about not talking about #ev3 ever again? Remember that one? 😛

Sorry for disturbing you, PoG folks, I'll be on my way. 🙂

Diablo II has you running around too.

I wouldn't say that Diablo's exactly a RPG. It's more of a hack'n'slay, actually. It would do just as good without that stupid story.

I've played many an RPG, and I find PoG to be amazingly fun. Simple and without great graphics, plot, or music, yet still extremely fun. In fact, I've actually stopped playing Morrowind as of late and am playing PoG instead. It really is a well done RPG. Hell, didn't it get something like 4 out of 5 stars from Macworld or some other reviewer?

<Edit> Heh, weird. I totally forgot that I already posted regarding that in this topic. Ah well, brought up a new point or two.

    • I much preferred Cythera to PoG, for all the above reasons, and for one additional one: It looks so much like Ultima, which most of us here, being Mac-users, get essentially none of. Perhaps I'm trying to vicariously enjoy the Ultima experience through Cythera? Either way though, they both seriously need to be updated. Horrendous spelling in PoG, shocking incompletion in Cythera... Oy.

I seem to recall not liking Cythera because in the (spirit's?) tutorial I never could get past one of the earliest sections--I just gave up after a while.

    • Interesting...I never actually really noticed any problems with the spelling or grammar. Of course, maybe that's because I can't go far in the game until I register it...

I can say this of PoG and Cythera: Of thw two, PoG gave me a much better first impression. I haven't registered either yet, so I don't know which is actually better overall, though.
