      Let me clairify:

Tycho is 'done' with the ASW world, which is what I meant by "non-entity".
He's not working on any programs that matter to anyone here any longer, and is mostly worried about his carreer.

Yes, I know. Hence I added "just for the record". I figured he might still be curious about the name.

Sweet. Does Genesis have a site?

Not an updated one. In fact there are only two people currently working on it...so it is going kind of slow. My plan is to finish the time line (I have about an hours worth of work left on that) and then begin all the mission strings and descs (wish me luck). Once I have all the written stuff done I'll send out a call for planet/ship/outfit work. Darth Eddy is the other one working on it and he can do some initial ship design, but he hasn't been able to find a good rendering software for windows.

Anyway, as far as the storyline and missions go...the general outline is down...I just need to organize it all into one coherent story.

I really want to have a complete outline of ships, outfits, and planets before I start asking people to make them. That way there will be no confusion on what the story needs and what needs to be done in general.

I'm not going to put a limit on myself for time but I should make some substantial progress over Christmas break.

So far the map is 100% complete (laid out anyway) and the time line is about 75% complete.

Okay, okay...so I spent the past few days going out and finding Aelran, and Darth Eddy. Now we have the triumvirate working on the plug again. Plus I spent and hour or two cleaning out the cobwebs (140 or so bots) on the www.kontik.net/forum site while also "improving" I might say some settings. So the forum is now up and ready to explore. Progress continues as normal. I may also someday update our website that is now defunct (goes looking for the real darth bob). Oh and I'd appreciate it if people kept bugging me about this starting Dec 10th or so...I have a lot of writing to do over Christmas and I'd like to have a complete rough draft done done by January 6th.

      A list of TCs

It makes me tear up a little to see Star Wars: Nova under Vaporware. That looked so bloody amazing back when they were working on it...sigh.

    • I resurrect myself to say that neither Sephil Saga nor Retribution are dead.

And while we're at it, I humbly suggest checking out Verb's Revenant.

Wow, the shipyard and outfitter screenshots are really, really cool, that's a kind of design I don't think I've ever seen anyone attempt.

      Indeed. They are quite awesome.

    • I'd like to check out the Teacup TC and Miners TC, but I searched the addons page using both search pages, and didn't come up with either.

      Where can I get those?

      Thanks.

      EVN Miners.
Teacup TC and Qold Fusion for TCTC.

Incidentally, both of them were linked to from the first post of this thread.

    • Ah-ha! You seem to have missed the greatest contribution of oops wait. That's still a secret. I think. Dr. Trowel should be the one to say it.

....And I don't think it's ready for prime time. At the least, the results of the last privately-public release suggested that more hints need to be integrated. Stay "tooned." 🙂

It is well why would I tell you?

    • Stargate Nova is still in progress, with only two of us working on it at the moment it is slow going but the website is up and going and as more stuff is available more features will be unlocked. The forum is now fully active for public access.

    • Hi,
Just thought I'd mention for the record the TC I'm working on. Story is all based on a novel and a couple stories I wrote a while back so it is easy to do desc stuff and missions. The concept is a little 'retro' compared to Nova; with the "universe" being actually the solar system itself and various colonies and factions within it (there's more room here than you might think).
I'm still a while from having it together, so it's nothing to get any hope up over yet. Just thought I'd mention it for completeness sake.
(It's called The Martian War saga, btw; and yes, I know Mars-Earth rivalry has been done to death, but this is a unique take on it and I like retro scifi anyway).
The idea is to be more hard-core scifi (try for realism), and less sci-fantasy.
I've been working steadily, but I dont know when it will be at beta status...
