Hi Wolf506. Welcome to the boards. Open your inventory. When you met the runner at the Tearos River bridge he gave you a scroll. It is in your inventory. Find "quest scroll" and select "use" or double click it. You will usually find your next quest listed there. Also, when you are near the river portals look for some arrow signs which should point you in the right direction. ~RD

    • Thanks for thw welcome. I asked the wrong question. I did check the quest log. Where are the River Portals. I usally do not ask for help on a game but I am woking 7am to 7pm right now and cannot explore this Huge map. I do thankful fo the help.

    • North from the Learning tree. Go west. Look for secret passages. You'll know one of the "River Portals" when you see it.

EDIT: And welcome to the web boards, Wolf506!

    • Just tell me what side of the river the 4th parchment is on please. Normaly I would search every inch of a world but I just don't have time for proper game play right now. Sorry to keep bothering you with this. Thanks

Go to the River Portals and follow the wooden arrow signs. It's that simple. Just remember that the trolls may have wandered a bit away from the portals. 🙂

    • Before I ever went to the Hag I had two parts to the Sword. She just gave me the sword quest and then asked to see the parts I already have. Thats all she does. No hints to the other parts or anything. Is this what is supposed to happen or have I hit a glitch?

Make sure that there is no Cyclops or Azarath near her Island. A thing that happens with PoG is that an NPC will not talk if there are hostile creatures too near. It's not something I can fix at this point whthout doing a new version, but I learned this after the plugin was done when she wouldn't speak to my character a couple of times.

Kill all the nearby monsters, including those on the shore north of her island, and she should speak to you again. Please post back if you have a problem. ~RD

Edit: Which two parts do you have? There was one bug which got fixed. Out of thirty-one possible combinations of swords parts, a link to the proper text got dropped out. Download (url="http://"http://www.evula.org/rduck/damselsV1.1.1.sit")this version(/url) or find any other part and your game will proceed as intended. One part that's easy to find is near where they are holding a captive troll.

    • I had the handle and blade. I went back to an old save; replayed back up to the Hag and it worked. There might have been a monster around. I am past that part now thought I would still like some help. Just to narrow down my search for the pommel stone which side or the river is it on? East or Weat? Any clue can only help.

      ------------------

    • South of the river portals. Now look closely at how the river bends 😉

    • Is there any place I might find around 77 Toadstools or am I going to have to do that wounderful search most every screen for them? I have 173 of 250.

Have you gone to see Loogor yet? You might find some along the way. There are over 530 Toadstools in the plugin. 😄

EDIT: More like 545 but I've lost count and am not sure if I could find them all.

    • Sorry for that last post. I was just being me. Not serious. I am on the last Hag quest about deep in the earth by the giants feet. I have the maps clear up there but only have giant on the map and there is no entrance on these screens that I have found. Right beside the giant foot there would seem to be a walkway but I cannot get up it so I figure it is just an image. I even went along the edges of all the maps to see if I could put my climbing skills to use. 🙂 Help if you will.

    • Look around the screen one west of it. Explore the cave to it's fullest.

some who did not know would ask "what is this way that gives him so much power?" and they were told "It is the way of Mrs. Marietta Cosmopilite, 3 quirm street, Ankh-Morpork, rooms to rent, very reasonable. No, we don't understand it, either. Some subsendential rubbish, apparently."

Of course I will. The tremendous weight of those Pillars of Garendall has pushed their feet far beneath the surface. You will have to go about five levels down from a cave entrance which is in another screen. Post back if you need more direction than that. ~RD

Edit: Ah, moUSE EE loiDE was quicker on the click than I.

    • Well, thnx for the help with the lack of runner. Now maybe a little tip on where to find Upper Berglum? I've checked stuff out in the actual town. A "general vicinity" to look around in would be nice. THNX : )

Indirect hint: It's closer to Berglum than you think....

Less indirect hint: You will need to climb some rocks.....

That's a hint? Why not just hold his hand and lead him there.? 😛 I'd say that takes the fun of discovery away for any one who reads this thread. :frown:

Could I talk you into editing that out now that he has seen it?

    • I hate to have others do the game for me, but I just can't find anything near the portals. I have just made the jump to that little island and am wandering around the screen w/ the portals rather aimlessly. I've scoured every edge of the trees and shore line on both sides. Unless it's in some totally random spot in the middle of a field, I'm completely at a loss. All my quest journal says is to head for the river portals to seek more clues. Please assist!

      ------------------
Oh yea, also if someone could give me a shove towards the many wonderful adventures of WoC... I'm ashamed to admit this but I was actually a tester for it, until I had to go on vacation, that is. I just forget how to get that guy in Berglum to give me another quest after the bandit one (clearing his workshop). I'm a swordsman...
