    • would it be possible to have a hangar in which you could store extra ships/outfits, and then go pick them up or exchange them as needed for ceratin missions?

    • Well, you couldn't just create something called a hanger and then be done. That would involve some serious coding etc.

      But what you could do is create a planet called "Hanger". In the Mission BBS on this planet, there would be missions where, when you accepted them, your ship would change to another ship. You could set it up, so that whenever you bought a ship somewhere else, it would enable the mission in your 'hanger' that would allow you to switch to your previous ship, and allow you to switch to the ship you just bought.

      Hope that makes sense, if not, I could do a little plug that allows you to switch between to ships to show you how it would work.

    • Through engine manipulation, you could achieve a similar effect, but on the level I assume you are talking - no.

      It could be done by having a ship that is given to you by a government (ie like the Unrelenting)made available in the Shipyard with certain upgrades and weapons as standard at a cost of 0 (or perhaps a small cost for storage) everytime you visit a certain spob (a ship storage station??) once you are given the ship, but any upgrades you gave the ship once in use would not be stored. You if you were awarded a number of ships (from viper up to carrier) then you could swap between them by visiting this one particular spob. However there is no "hanger" feature implemented in the engine.

      I think there already are some plugs that make GTA-like garages. Try searching the ASW addons page.

    • I think it's only possible in ev/evo, but not in EV: N. Correct me if i'm wrong 🙂

    • It's possible in the very way that it was done in ev/o, but the wrangling would be much more complicated and would outstrip certain requirements, outfits especially, iirc.
      You would run out of misns or crons, depending on which you used to process the bit shifting.

    • If EV4 is ever made, this should be a feature.
