How? (Mac)

I'm trying to find out how to export the ship graphics from Nova so I can change the colours on some of them and merge others together (Pegasus + Auroran carrier = Auroran Super Carrier etc).

I just can't seem to find any info on how it should be done.

Can anyone help?
