I just came across a comment made in another topic stating that if one agreed to fight Ratznest his/her strength would be set back to 30 and would not reset again until Princess Anne was rescued. I think it was RD who posted this.

I have rescued three of the four princesses and am trying to find the entrance to Ratznest's lair and am wondering if the quest in my DiD quest scroll to collect 250,000 gold to give to Ratznest means that I cannot fight him to free Princess Anne. Was there something I missed in my first meeting with Ratznest that I did wrong or am I just not looking hard enough for Ratznest's cave?

My strength was never set back to 30 and I have tbe blade Diabolous. I am hoping that I have another option than to pay Ratznest the 250,000 gold. :frown:

Any help would be much appreciated.

I have already spoken to the hag and she told me that Ratznest had a lair near the feet of the giants. I have looked all around that area (in High Garendall) and have not been able to find anything. I hadn't planned on paying Ratznest anything...I just wasn't sure if at 3:00am one morning I didn't make the wrong choice when I first spoke to him.

I guess I'll keep looking for Ratznest's lair then. Thanks
