I think that once we pay for one, we'll pay for them all. lots of people have put lots of work into the TCs now in progress and we'd all like to see some compensation for it. But it would crush the spirit of things I think- charging money for an expansion of a shareware game that many people don't have.

No more in a split. I agree with you. I already felt like it was selling out

If you tell me I can pay if I feel like it and have the money, on the other hand, make it easy by using PayPal or something like that, set the dollar amount to something really small like $8 for a TC

I think that if you set an amount, some people will be a little annoyed. It's up to them to judge a plug-in, no?
If someone is to use donationware, add a line of text mentioning EV:N costs 30$, no more, no less, so people (in my view) shouldn't think of paying more than half that amount, even for a very big plug-in.

I say go for it, mainly because somebody has to do it and I'd rather see someone other than me else burst into flames

Don't worry, Raga, it would seem you guys aren't that near to completion, so there will be a few to release their stuff before you.
"Somebody has to do it" Not so sure anymore.
I have to stress that anyone making their plug-in donationware should make it discreet, a line in the ReadMe or a small thing on a website. Otherwise they will burst up in flames
goes back to thinking
Decides:
Arpia goes freeware. And that's it.
All I needed to know it was a little help
Charging money for plug-ins will diminish the number of people interested. It will make plug-in development much more sparse, because the results won't be as gratifying. Sure, you'll get a few dollars in total, but not that many And I believe "thank you" messages, mentions in posts, people expressing their gratitude spiritually (as opposed to materially, in money) will be truer words than the money itself.
Nothing in the world can beat a smile.
I forgot about it for a minute. I hope I won't anymore.
