Okay, I've been unable to get to it for the past couple days - freenukehosting.com isn't even up. Is this just some downtime, or did we get tanked by another free hosting service? :huh:

We "got tanked". Again. This is such a bore Let's hope DB and Prophile find something better next time (we are so unlucky, orca, so unlucky)

It is a touch frustrating.

Anyway, the map for NovaKids is done- 97 systs. I haven't placed any spobs yet, and I have some temporary dudes in- using Onyx's ships as of now.

Just a little progress, I hope.

I do have space avalible for NovaKids, should we require it elsewhere...

We can do it on Kemet or on ev-nova.net As you wish.

The one that I have for Kemet at phpbbforfree has not given me any trouble as of yet, and I've had it since October, at least. Worst I've had is that it's been down for server maintenance today.

Honestly, as much as I'd like to have more traffic on the Kemet boards, I think that NovaKids is much better suited for ev-nova. I've kind of touched on that issue before, Pace, but I don't remember if it was with you or Tycho- I think that it should be as open as possible! Not locked up somewhere obscure where it doesn't belong. Plus, thematically, the two are entirely incompatible.

Getting back to working on the NK galaxy as we speak while some test renders for K are running...

I'd be willing to host the next KRF. I can set up a phpBB or Invision or whatever you want (if I don't have to pay for it) and put my webspace to more good use than just random assorted files.

I've had exactly one problem with FreePgs hurting my files on a global basis: they upgraded their servers or did some maintenence or something, and my site was lost. That's it though. Kind of unpredictable, but I don't think they'll go out of business.

No need. We already have the new board up and running (but still offline). We will inform you when it's ready. Trust me, this one will be even better, especially with Bert.

Even if the KRF doesn't use it I want to try the karma mod I wrote.

I will too. For some examples of what I can do, go here, scroll down, and look at the three small things on the right. Those were all written completely, from scratch, by me. So yeah, I'm experienced with this stuff. DB may be too, but I have samples.

Probably not as much as you. I've writen a few simple scripts but have gotten a chance to test them real time.

DB, if you want, I'd be more than willing to set up a test forum for you in my webspace. It can be anything you like, as long as it's free (e.g. phpBB or Invision; not UBB).

I've got more than enough space on my forum to do that. You don't happen to know what it means when the parser says "unexpected T_STRING?" I think it is a syntax error but I can't find where I made one.
