...needs your help!
An open letter to the EV Nova developer's community.
Good day. I am here on the behalf of the Retribution team and a subsidiary of AP^3 Productions in order to extend an invitation for skilled graphics artists to assist in the production of Retribution.
As many of you know, Retribution is a Total Conversion for EV Nova, currently in the later stages of production. Notably, we have our main missions completely written out, as well as our planet, ship, and outfit descriptions. In addition, we have accomplished a sizable amount of programming work, led by Masamune, who has lent his talents to this project, and our graphics work is proceeding. However, our graphics artists are currently overwhelmed with the amount of graphical work that remains: landing graphics, ship, outfit, and miscellaneous models must be created and textured. For this reason, we are currently seeking graphics artists who are competent in utilizing 3D programs in order to create models and graphics by not only replicating concept art, but also contributing their own creative ideas and input.
Work on Retribution is not an extended commitment. After Retribution has been completed, you are free to leave if you wish; there is no commitment to AP^3 or its affiliate. Alternately, you may stay and assist with other Total Conversion projects that are being and will be developed if you so desire. We do not have sadistic project leaders or unrealistic expectations; our project directors are flexible and will do their part to accommodate your needs. You may be affiliated with another plug-in; you are welcome to apply regardless of your status (please check with your team-leader first, though, before applying).
It is my hope that the release of Retribution within the next three or four months will stimulate the community in general, provide entertainment value and a source of discussion, demonstrate ideas and concepts that may be incorporated or expanded into future plug-ins by all authors, and provide an impetus to other developers to finish their own projects. If you are capable of meeting our requests, I urge you to consider applying.
Thank you very much for your time, and have a very nice day.
