    • Multiple junks at one stellar?

      How does Nova behave?

What the title says. How does Nova behave if more than one junk is offered at a given spob?

It seems to me that the junk with the highest ID is the only one available, but I'm not certain.

    • I beleive that you are right. I've tried to put multiple junks at one steller and only got the one with the highest ID.

    • You can have up to two avalible, so use NCBs so that one is only avalible when the other is not if you want more than that at a time.

      From the bible-

BuyOn      Control bit test expression. This jünk will only be available to be
bought when this expression evaluates true. Leave blank if unused.

SellOn     Control bit test expression. This jünk will only be able to be
sold when this expression evaluates true. Leave blank if unused.

    • Interesting. Not terribly useful, though, so far as I can see.

    • I guess that it just depends on how detailed you want your economy to be, I guess...

    • You wouldn't have to just use NCBs. You would also need crons if you wanted to make it realistic.

    • Good point.

    • Thanks.

You know, you could use a combination of NCBs, crons, and the system visibility fieldto completly alter whats available. Even with the basic goods.

    • Ah, but then you couldn't have random missions there.

Yes you could. All you would have to do is specify that you could get the mission at every version of the steller. It would just require a little more luck. 🙂

    • Something else about this topic has been mentioned before.

A planet's commodity exchange has two slots for jünks: one to sell goods at low price, and the other to buy them at high price.

So, if a planet has two jünks available, one at it high price, and the other at its low price, both will appear.

If both of the goods are at their high price, only one will appear. Same for if both are at low price.

Well then they aren't random. 😛

(EDIT): By random I mean a mission with a random destination. These types of missions WILL NOT EVER pick a spob in a syst with visbits.

    • What if you gave planets with various states of visibility thier own class and specified the mission to be avalible at "govt spob or classmates"?

    • Yep. That would work.
(in fact, you've just blown the secret of a feature I will have in Arpia 2, though it's not related to the jünk part :D)

    • We're all using the secret tricks! When the first TC finally comes out of the current crop the rest of us are all going to point our fingers screaming and sue the dev team for plagarism 🙂

When you've got a printed copy ofthe Bible for bathroom reading you come up with all kinds of possibilities...

True :D. In fact, the feature I'm talking (used in Arpia 2) about could be used in NovaKids Sending a PM with the details right now.

    • That makes me really depressed, because there must be many more secrets which have totally escaped me...

      I'm so sad.

    • Not really. Have you ever heard of the Commodore 64? It was a very popular but horribly limited old 8-bit computer.

      People are still using them.

People are getting 640*480 out of them.
Stereo Sound. GUI's. Internet. Freaky evil C=64 web servers.

My point is that if you work at something long enough and think deeply enough about it you will find some way to do something.

      Eh? How does this work?

    • Classes, like in the govt resource. Or better yet, thier own govt. Then have that particular govt or class, so even though stated spob is only variously visible or appears in multiple places or whatever, your mission will be avalible there still.
