Point defence beams are way to powerful unless you give it a burst reload. They never miss. Ever. But cheapness is good.

Anyways, I am well aware of this. However, I think ATMOS (although it's really just Dave at this point) is smart enough to make them start sideways. They'd have to be symmetrical to look right, but meh. Still cool.
I think the Polaris developing a point-defense BRL would feel right at home in Nova...

Remember this about PD beams (as I told in the wëap annotated template):
-beams are instantaneous, which means the main reason a PD weapon can miss (as the missile is usually a fast target) is that the target moved in the meantime, does not apply.
-this guidance ignores (Lord knows why) inaccuracy. They never miss, I tell ya!That's the same reason I recommand them for cheats, especially debug cheats.
