    • Lightwave - 3D Studio Artists needed

      for Babylon 5 TC

Hello EV Dev community. We are currently in the middle of a Babylon 5 TC project, and require artists with Lightwave and/or 3D Studio Max to render sprites, targets & shipyard pictures for pre-existing models and potentially to create new models based on existing screenshots from the show (where applicable).

If you're interested and dedicated, please send me a PM and I'll fill you in. Many thanks.

Note: this post co-authored by Verb.

    • Hello. I dont know about the rest of the stuff but i can certainly create 3d models of ships, especially from pictures. So sign me up if ya want me.

    • (edit) nevermind.

And what is that. To the best of my knowledge, all the other Babylon 5 projects have turned into vapourware.

    • In the middle of a TC and no ships?

I am a noob, but i think ships could waste much time. I am a 3D-Designer and i can design the ships - not with lightwave, but it costs much time, so i dont have this time to do it 😉

But as a big B5 Fan, i would be happy to see what you already have.

It's called Eternel Wars. It was vapourware, but a recent effort has seen a massive rise in interest among a few people. Don't insult EVN:EW, just because you didn't know production had not ceased.

 . Wouldn't help to give people the idea that it is a Babylon 5 TC to have a name that suggests that? Otherwise Eternal Wars sounds like a pretty generic name. If I insulted it (or you) I apologize for not knowing (but you might have wanted to say something in your original post).

Just becuase there already is one doesn't mean Blacksabre can't do his.

    • Touche. You are absolutely right.

    • No need for a spat, fellas. Phil, if you want to see what I've got, sign up as a member at www.ev-nova.net/forums and send me a pm there (same username). I'll hook you up with what I have thus far.

In addition, I'm about to start work on the storyline. I'm going to rent the entire series from Netflix, 1 disc at a time, and sit with a pen and paper, writing down ideas for nova-based missions as I go. It's gonna be huge.

But again, I only have a demo version of 3DSM, which is almost up, and which I have just started to scratch the surface of.

Placeholders, my friend, placeholders. Relax, I'd hope we have some idea of what we are doing. 😛
