Hello, yes me again, i know i must be driving everybody mad with all the questions i have been asking but please bare with me. As i understand the preferred way/ the one that would be easiest for me, is to set up frames and what not( i dont actually know part of the help) for a 3d model in some kind of application and do...something. Can anyone please help me with this, eg applications, programs, what to do! Thank you

You learn to use them. You experiment with them, you read their manuals, you find tutorials on the internet. Once you understand how to use them in a basic sense, you can ask other people for help doing more complex things. That's what all the graphics people in the EV community have done.

    • I know how to use them. Im not new to 3d moddeling i just dont know what it is im supposed to do with them to end up with the rle8/D etc. That is all.

    • Oh, OK. That wasn't clear to me.

Looking at your other posts, you seem to be a Windows user. I can't help you there - I've only used Macs for EV and plugin-making.

Any other Windows-users know what to do? Going from model to plugin graphic, both for Mac or PC, seems like a good topic for some guides to be written...

    • Yeah doesnt it. I hope someone can help. Even if i had some general idea, eg has it to do with making frames in the program etc or whatever. Are there steps between the model program and the finished graphic etc etc.

    • Basically, all you have to do is make an animation of the ship rotating around. If you need help with setting keyframes for animation, you should probably consult a manual, or look at an online tutorial. Once you've done that, then you have to render a movie of your ship rotating around. Once you've got that movie, then you send it to a Macuser, who drags the movie file onto a movie-to-sprite converter app, and then that automatically creates the sprites for you. Then, depending on how powerful EVNEW (EV Nova Windows Editor, found on the Plugins Page) has become, you should be able to receive those sprite files, and put them into a plugin yourself.
