Reconstructing Dreamwave

Hello everyone! I apologize for posting such a topic when I do not regularly contribute to this forum. Anyway, after asking EVula about any news regarding the Dreamwave plugin resources, with his advice, I decided to post here asking you guys if you could assist with the effort to put Dreamwave's material back together again.

As I recall, the good Captain gradually lost his ability to keep the site updated. I am not very sure about how often he comes by here, but I was unable to find any posts by him after March. Also, I believe the computer he used to host the site died. Thus, I am very interested in bringing Skyblade's (and his contributors') work back online. In his memory, in a sense, but also because they were so good.

So, here I ask: If any of you have any of the unmodified resources from Dreamwave, would you be so kind as to send it my way? I will forward anything you provide to EVula so he might be able to make a collection on his own site.

Captain Skyblade was very generous with his assistance to Nova plugin developers, and now, you, too, can assist the community in general by helping Dreamwave's resurrection. It would be a shame and a great loss for the material to remain uncollected.

Skyblade comes by the EV Image Gallery more often. For example, (url="http://"http://www.ambrosiasw.com/webboard/Forum56/HTML/001610.html")here(/url), just a couple weeks ago. Perhaps he'd notice if you posted to his (url="http://"http://forums.evula.com/viewforum.php?f=6&sid;=533ca7c02a2d5484dddc6f001095a62d")webboard(/url), though it isn't very active. Perhaps his Age of Empires buddies can reach him; see his (url="http://"http://dreamwave.evula.net/knightblades/")Knight Blades(/url) page. Or maybe you've already tried all those contact methods.

I've got a collection of textures and the EVO Fighter Bay Collection PICTs -- Do you want 'em?

Obviously there also are a lot of ship graphics that went into the Cold Fusion plug, which is still on the EVO downloads page. Those all were available as ship-by-ship downloads on Dreamwave. The Nova version of the plug is 98% the same in terms of graphics content; I mostly just did a ton of EnRLEing and addressed the compatibility issues.

Yeah, EVula thought that, too -- until he didn't get them. When I talked with EVula the other day, he said that his post about having the files was a "pre-emptive 'they are mine' statement."

Anyway, his last post on evula.com's message board was in late March, and his last Knight Blades item is from January. I posted this topic with the knowledge, mentioned in the first post of this topic, that whatever computer with his work on it had gone offline. Thanks for the advice, though.

So, yeah... If you would send your stuff in, that would be awesome.

On the 12th, I sent vortex an email attachment that was just under 2 MB. I got back an automated response: "Not enough storage space in user's mailbox to accept message." So I followed up with an email w/o attachment, telling him where he could download the files he wanted. I never heard back.

Now it occurs to me that if his box at (ev-nova.net) was clogged, he might not have been able to get my note telling him his box was clogged. I shoulda thought of that days ago, of course....

Actually, the email account has been down for some reason. I cannot access any of EVula's domains, either. I haven't had time to post here about it until now, and, for that, I apologize.

Thanks a lot for helping out, guys. At the moment, I won't be able to receive any emails. I'll try to get another account, then get back to you...
