After reading the topic about Mac-PC developer dynamics and the suggestions for guides, I thought it might be a good idea to discuss potential 'Official Developer Corner' guides, people to help write them, maybe compile a database of existing guides. So here goes.
- New Developer's Guide : This would be a comprehensive resource written for someone who has never touched ResEdit, EVNEW, or Mission Computer before but has the sincere desire to learn.
- Open-Source EVN Bible : This would be a constantly-updated guide that corrects mistakes and errata in the official release, as well as documenting undocumented features and possibly unique ways to use the engine and known issues.
- EVN Render and Spin Guide : This would be guidelines and tutorials to help people render and spin their models properly.
- Guides database : This would be an easy-to-direct-newbies site housing links to all these guides, as well as existing ones such as the Zombula technique, etc.
Opinions? Ideas? Add some? What do you think?
