()Select snd() from the resource list.

()From the pop-up, select File->Import.
()Browse to your .wav file and click open.
()Click Play to make sure it imported correctly.

I did all that, but it didn't work. The error message said to check the log.txt, so I did. It said that the sound file didn't start with the RIFF chunk. I have no idea what that means.

Simple: file identification on PC relies on extensions, which may seem (and sometimes is) a bad idea since the user can modify it as he likes. Therefore, most file formats put an identification signature, usually 4-char long, at the beginning of the file, in case someone attempts to disguise some random file into a wav, for instance, and attempts to open the file-that's-not-a-wav with something that expects a wav. That means the file you're trying to import isn't a wav file. You can't convert a sound file to wav by just changing the extension, you have to use a program that will do the job for you and actually change the file.
