    • Problem with creating new character


      Here's what I'm trying to do: create a new ship, as well as a character to start off with that ship. Here's the problem: when you choose the character you'd like to be and dub your ship with a fancy name and click OK, Nova chokes and quits.

      I don't know what the problem is, but that's probably because I went into this thing blind. If anyone would like me to email them the 500kb file so that they could diagnose the problem, I'd be very grateful.

    • The Nova sprites are stored as shäns, which read from the RLe resources.

      Make sure the ship is valid, i.e. try to make it buyable and have another, normal-starting pilot buy it. if it is, the problem is in the chär. if it isn't, the problem is in the shïp.

    • Alright. I've got everything working now, except for two things. 1) the dësc resource for the ship and 2) the large image shown when clicking 'Info' in shipyard

      I just forget how to figure which resource ID # I should use, and I can't seem to find it in the pre-release bible...

      dësc = Idx# of ship + 13000
      Very large PICT = RID# of ship + 20000
