Is there anyway or any plugin or any program that allows you to view the whole map?

No, I don't mean images of the original universe, they're useless to me. I made 265 starsystems according to the real galaxy, but I'd need to see them in nova map (as none of them are linked) for they're not added in 'clusters', but I inserted resources in alphaphetical (er? xD) order

So, what I need, is a map that allows me to see whole systems in one map with names shown (like EVN map in game)

(Before anyone says 'make map outfit and buy it', they're NOT linked, so map outfit won't help a bit :p)

You're a PC user, right? I don't think there is anything for PC that will do this for us (I use a PC as well). My royal pain in the ass solution is to plot my universe in Paint, so I can see what it will look like beforehand. Then I just do the math to get the right coordinates to put in the systs. It's a lengthy process, but it's the only solution I've come up with for myself.

Of course, you could always just add hyperlinks to your systs.

Of course there's a way. Chech the Bible, in the ncb section it has an expression to make a system explored.

I've pondered the idea of making a utility to take an image with a black image with blue dots on it (and probably a red dot for the center—if you want one in the center, you should know it's (0,0)), and export the coordinates of each dot.

I'd make it, but I don't have enough experience. Unless I used GD.pm...hmm...lemme think about that.

I think I will. I have plenty of spare time right now.

That's actually almost as slow thing to do, as linking every system randomly and then using map that shows everything in 999 jumps away

There is infinitely faster than what everyone said. Set every system government to -1 (easy with EVNEW export to text/mass mod with excel/import from text), then make a map with modval -1, which means explore all indy systems. Done.

Oh, while on this govt stuff, how can I link missions to certain gov planets? (10000-10255 for certain govt missions)

Should I use 0 (as 128 is govt and 10000 starts with it) or 10000, or 10128 or something else? None of those work xD

In EVNEW:
File -> Save As: Text file (.txt)
File -> Open: Text file (.txt)

EVNEW exports tab-deliniated, so use Excel or another spreadsheet program to import it.
When you are done, save the document as tab-deliniated text and open with EVNEW.

Best if you keep sounds and graphics seperate from your text-based data until you are completely done with the plugin.

It was indeed obvious for me to use some text export/import function, available on both platforms. As for your question, the Holy Bible states "thou shalt give the AvailStel field a value x between 9999 and 10255 (since there are 256 govts, + indy) to have the mission available on planets of govt ID x+128-10000." 10000 sould work for govt 128, make sure something else is not preventing the mission from being available (there can be approximately 10 power a zillion gazillion bazillion reasons for that).
